Donner wouldn't have been a solid B1G contributor so I'm not sure it hurts much.

I'm not saying Donner was going to light the world on fire, but you would think he could be someone to not get pinned in every match and beat a few guys along the way. Check out the roster and tell me someone that would be more serviceable than Donner at those weights.

Exactly. Donner wasn't going to be more than a backup wrestler here and likely would've transferred out anyway.
Goodale's staff keeps getting better and better....Hopefully he adds Ashnault in some capacity next year (He can train at SKWC and NJRTC)
RU had an open practice in the bubble this morning and a wonderful tailgate outside the bubble held by the Ashnaults and wrestlers folks. The parents and families watched a vigorous practice and then enjoyed the interaction with everyone. Great food and company.
I think there are rules about that? If he wants to train with SKWC or the RTC can he be on the staff?
I am admittedly not well versed in this but I feel like I heard that.
Ash was never shy about wanting to be a wrestling coach. His senior year of HS he said as much.

We can take as many to fit the 30 man roster and if scholarship wrestlers getting $, as much money as we have left to give.
No, RU recruited him very hard, but he ruled us out a few months ago. If I had to guess between Iowa and Michigan right now.
I just have the sense that our recruiting will slowly become more national in scope. With a hopefully Top Ten finish, a beautiful new state of the art training facility, large crowds at every home match, very good academics, and the toughest conference in the country, this staff will have a lot to sell and they know how to do just that. You wait for the above quality N.J. recruit, but we may be moving on quickly in a lot of cases in the future to fill our roster from this larger talent pool. I expect at least 25% out of state student athletes within five years if not sooner.. Stay tuned and enjoy the ride. $$$$

PS- The NCAA Championships are in Pittsburgh this March, Pittsburgh aka 'Steel City' thus the the 'Steel City' reference in on the poster, lol. In the pic are JVB, Ashnault, Suriano, and Gravina. I already checked hotel and VRBO prices for Pittsburgh for that weekend, prices are sky high.
Some interesting TV developments as PSU and tOSU have matches on ESPN2 (PSU vs ASU 12/14 & tOSU vs NCST 1/6). tOSU also has 4 matches on BTN and PSU has 2. I hope we get at least 2 or 3 on BTN and find out our TV schedule this week. Would be nice to get OKST on ESPN2.

We have 3 BTN matches: 1/6 MN, 1/18 Iowa, 2/17 UM. Surprised OKST isn't BTN or ESPN2.
