2022-23 Transfer Watch

Their guards looked great during the tournament, not sure how they would do over a full season though
Just got to meet Doug last night at an event at the Prudential Center..very nice guy and very humble

Gotta imagine Holloway goes hard after Dawes. Both Patrick School. Agree that he'd be a huge get for us

That's really unbelievable. SIX 2 pointers all season long. Wow, just wow
He didn’t play as much as he did the year before and they didn’t set up plays for him like they did the year before , which I think was a huge mistake by Holtmann, as the kid hit 4-6 threes in multiple games the year before. I think he would be seeking more playing time. Surprising with 2 of the players who were starters or major contributors the year before were hurt. ( The Cal transfer and the Harvard transfer) and still he did not play more. Missed that offense from the wing in my opinion

Stef Curry is a Career 43% 3 point shooter.

Ray Allen was a career 40% 3 point shooter.

39.5% is not Chopped Liver. I'll take .5% less than Ray Allen all day, every day.

Fair point, but those are NBA numbers. Purdue's entire team shot a collective 38.4% from three last season. Curry shot 47% from three in college.

I will pass on St. Peter's kids. A few fortuitous NCAA games doesn't make me want them leading RU.
Yeah. Edert as a 3 point specialist is fine but the other guards will not succeed in a big role on a high-major over the course of a season.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, I think you might be incorrect on Steph Curry's college 3PT percentage..

Steph Curry shot 40.8% from 3 his first year at Davidson, 43.9% his second year, and 38.7% his 3rd and final year. Career college 3PT percentage was 41.2%. (His career college FG% (not 3PT%) was 46.7%.)

hard pass on the St. Peters kids, priority should be the following names, pike needs to close at least two of these and one more wing (RJ LUIS)

Warren Washington
Ethan Wright
Al Amir Dawes
Marcus Hammond

Luis was told we are not recruiting him and focusing on the portal

Big Luis fan though. Would like to see him brought in too especially if another spot opens up from say Oskar

Reallyyyy need 3 point shooters even more than normal if your team plays out of the post. Wonder how much Cliff in the post will be utilized and Paul as well.

Recall earlier in this thread I mentioned that OSU picked a wing transfer from Wright State. Ahrens probably saw the writing on the wall. I wonder if some guys have any hesitation about transferring within the conference.
If you transfer in conference you have a better idea of the team and the coach recruiting you has a better idea of what type of player you are so there is probably a comfort level there

There were at least 2 last year.

Miller Kopp, Northwestern to Indiana

Jamari Wheel, PSU to OSU.

Wants ND-----no clue if there is mutual interest.

He did some things in the tourney but has only averaged 8,8 and 10 in three years against MAAC competition.

IMO, he may be surprised at his transfer options.
Agree. Nice run, solid player. Probably should stay at SPU or maybe think A-10. Ain’t seeing ND for him.
