Texas is stacked with much more talent than Arizona State. Arizona State took the game to the wire and nearly won in overtime.

Their practice bubble:

The facility is a 103,500 square foot dome containing a 75-yard practice field (with an end-zone) and a 45-yard practice field (also with an end zone). ASU selected FieldTurf as the playing surface for the dome. It is the same surface used by more than 40 major NCAA universities in their stadiums. In addition, 21 of the NFL's 32 teams use FieldTurf at their stadiums and/or practice fields, as well as three Major League Baseball teams have FieldTurf in their stadiums.
Construction began in May of 2008,.

Rutgers has a practice bubble PLUS 3 outdoor practice fields.

"The Bubble features a 100-yard FieldTurf surface, offering the Scarlet Knights a facility to compete and train indoors.''

It serves its purpose for when the weather isn't conducive to outdoor training.

Oh, and Penn State is building a football practice bubble.

I’ve been in the ASU bubble. Its gets down to a comfy 102 degrees in the summer.

When UT came to Piscataway in 1999, apparently Mack Brown liked what he saw with Rutgers having a bubble and probably wanted to get his team out of the Texas summer heat every so often.

The Texas one is being retired as they received Al's memo to finally build a complete fieldhouse instead, and closer to their stadium. Their bubble is about as far away from their stadium as if Rutgers' bubble was situated way over at the Werblin Ctr relative to SHI stadium.
