Mathis reminds me a little like Eli Carter: College-ready body, strong to the basket, natural scorer, SOME (but not sniper) 3-point shooting ability, athletic "enough.". He looks to be a little bit taller than Carter, though.

I say when there is good news, revel in it. Plenty of time for reality checks when reality hits ... why worry about reality checks before then?

Very much so. Also, he can take people off the dribble as I know was a concern of chopping. I just watched some video. McClung is a winner. Perfect for a build. His team just placed first in a huge aau tournament.

Higgins....I saw some of his HS tape, he also uses his left hand well when dribbling into the lane.

Read an article that macs dad was a va tech football player which is crazy because I didn't know that connection to va tech as they were a finalist, his sister played college soccer for Florida state and another relative played pro baseball for the Milwaukee brewers.

It's in his blood. You don't get up that high without special natural abilities. And read Mathis quote that he played against Mac and said he's a really good point guard.

You can't double kiss, Mathis and Maclung not even mentioning Doucoure. As I said, Mathis could do this anywhere with the right mix of guys. We are getting there piece by piece and what a coaching staff. I hope Brandon Knight and coach Hobbs can stay for a few years and see this through. They will both be great head coaches at some point.
