Deserving of their own thread. Named as two of the top 25 players in the WNBA right now! I imagine if Erica Wheeler would have played this year she would be named as well. RU proud!
Oh, Laney played 43 minutes in a 2OT game tonight. She had 15 points, and 11 assists in 47+ minutes. So, these stats are not included in above article.

Incidentally, you mention Wheeler. Bottom line on ESPN said she may be out for the entire season due to Covid19 illness.

Kahleah was great. Would be so cool if they were co-MIPs this year. Kia had a good game tonight too!

Kahleah with yet another great game on D, and O. 21pts, 7 boards, and D was superior. I wish that Kah, and Betnijah will be co- MIP's.

Not sure how important team success is in the MIP award. Is the improvement supposed to be compared to the immediately preceding season or career average? Either Betnijah or Myisha Hines-Allen will win.

LaChina Robinson announced her selections today on the ABC telecast (Storm vs Aces) and she had Laney as most improved but.... that is just her and the narratives by other commentators during much of the last few Mystics games have been pushing for M Hines-Allen. I suspect Hines-Allen gets it.
But Copper and Laney have had great improvements in the shortened season.
Do the awards get announced tomorrow?

Laney won AP's most improved player for the WNBA 2020!
Wilson won the POY and Reeve won COY, for the AP.
Parker wins Defensive Player (somewhat controversial)
Dangerfield wins Rookie of Year
Hamby wins 6th player (2nd year in row)
Stewart wins comeback player.
They also have the 1st and 2nd teams announced, from the AP.

The link happens to be the San Diego paper but i am sure other participants in AP will have the article.

Not sure when WNBA league awards are announced.

And editing to add Feinberg's article:
