Some fans are likely to overreact when disappointed. Not a big deal. But I don't know how anyone could be disappointed in this coach at this point. They would've been in the tournament the last 2 years if not for covid and they already beat the #1 team in the country in December, a program which is still ranked near the top. If they don't make the tournament again they look set to at least get close. It's a sign of his success that he has raised expectations so high so soon that even merely getting to the tournament is not enough for some. That's reason to give him a major extension.
