4.50 official (tied 5 fastest in 1st group of WR's)
4.51 40 unofficial - 1st run
4.54 - 2nd run
14 reps at 225 - about average for WRs
Did well in 1st gauntlet drill - caught everything
Haven't seen him in a drill since gauntlet, so don't know if he's injured or resting so he doesn't aggravate ankle injury.

40 time is very good - should not hurt him
LC is cut and looks like a physical beast BTW

I like Mayock but he is SOOOOO pro-ND players its ridiculous. They haven't spoken about LC once but we know everything about Will Fuller.

When a weapon is developed, nobody knows if it will really perform as planned until it is actually battle tested. The same goes for a person in sports or just about any other situation. Hopefully, the scouts really put a lot more on actual game performance than just filling in slots on an evaluation sheet.

Hmmm, surprised his bench reps weren't better, Leonte always seemed to be of above-average build/strength for a WR.

Can't watch right now. did he not have much to say about Carroo? Could be worse, you could be listening to more about what Matt Millen thinks of Jabrill Peppers.

Caroo doesn't seem to be present in a lot of the throwing drills. He is #8, but I see after #7(Cajuste) he doesn't step in for his rep.

Why does it seem like he is ether sitting out/excluded.

However from what i saw, like the commenters above, he looked good.

Just wondering why I don't see him in the field anymore...

Mcshay was high one him

Of the wide receivers in the first group this morning, I think Josh Doctson (TCU) and Leonte Carroo (Rutgers) are standing out. Doctson ran a good 40-time of 4.50 (official) for 6-foot-2 and 202 pounds, and continues to show excellent ball skills. He should be a top 50 pick. Carroo has shown strong hands and body control in drills. Also ran a good 40 time of 4.50 at 6-feet, 211 pounds.

Happy carroo did well. He looks to be tied for 11th among receivers in the 40 which is good.

Also fuller getting all that attention probably has more to do with him being the fastest 40 time and projected to be 1st rounder than being from ND...

If you look at all of Carroos stats he's in the tops 50% and higher like top 30% in all of the categories. So he's athletic but what sets him apart is his hands and he's a football player. A bunch of these guys are just athletes or track guys. He is athletic and can play. Would be cool to see him opposite Odell on the Giants.

Carroo catches balls in traffic, and while tightly covered. That's what separates him from the rest of most of those guys. He also has terrific body control and balance. All those things are tough to measure in a combine. Game tape tells the scouts the real story. The underwear olympics (the combine) provides the inexperienced scouts picks like Mike Mamoula of the Eagles, and that DE the Jets picked in the first round who was athletic but couldn't get off a block. Or a first round pick like Johnny 'Lam' Jones, the Jets first rounder who could run like the wind, but had hands of stone.

Mike Mamula wasn't a bust or a combine only star.

One of Carroo"s biggest strength is his ability to step up in a game, as compared to drills. Put him in traffic and he's wrestle the ball away from a db

Just read DD's article, he was protecting ankle.

To me, Caroo is the best WR in the draft. The big question mark for him is health. He seems to always be injuried. And in the NFL where the hits are more punishing, it's a legit concern for him moving forward.

Maybe the Bengals draft Carroo to replace Sanu. Ain't that a kick in the teeth.
