Yeah I remember all the threads, following the Ohio-Gan debacle, about how the class "falling apart" was "imminent." Well, guess what? It DIDN'T happen. Coach Ash has been very open and honest to recruits, about what to expect this season as well as when they get here, from Day 1. That goes a long way my friends.
How many thought it would be this bad? Any sliver of doubt may get them to stop drinking the Ashaid.
At least with recruiting, the only ones that need to be drinking the Ashaid need to be the recruits, thankfully.
Now, I hope they continue to drink it. Ash probably told all of them that they have great chances to start as freshman which would be appealing to high school recruits. Recruits can look at Brandon Winbush and the fact that he really hasn't played in how many years? It probably helps that many positions on our team are so bad that the recruits can actually see they have a shot at instant playing time

I don't buy early playing time and easy access to the field because we suck so bad is a tool.
Great players have confidence they can go anywhere and play, they may be delusional, but I've never met a great player in my life time in any sport that didn't have the confidence in himself to feel like he could beat out anyone, anywhere.

A few playmakers will make a big difference. For example, just compare this squad w/ Grant to it w/o him.
Difference is Grant is a senior. You're expecting freshmen to come right in and the best players on the team.
