I don't like these types of threads because I don't like criticizing our guys. Very few guys get drafted or play in the NBA. I hope our guys get good advice when the time comes and do what is right for them.
Yeah that's my point he's undersized. He's more like 6'4. If he was 3/4 inches bigger he'd be a lottery pick.

I think Jaden Jones can be our Dosumo and I have tremendous respect for that kid. I’m not sure Ron is ready to leave and it really depends on many factors. Right now he’s a very hot shooter and let’s hope it stays that way but the big 10 is completely different.
Everyone is very high on Rutgers but this schedule is brutal. We need to start off by beating Maryland on Monday. If I had one piece of advice for Palmquist; I would say stop focusing on the 3 point line get your mid range jump shot to go; drive to the hoop and make your FTs. The three point shot will start dropping when you start scoring in general. Harper went through that last year.
Oskar puts too much pressure on himself to knock down the 3 pointers in his limited playing time. Play balls out defense like Montez does and get better looks. I think Oskar can be really good.

KYK, Don't be surprised if Geo and Jacob both return next season. Myles will be back again and I also believe Ron will be back as well. Without fans there most likely will not be a senior send off as well this season. That is a big event each year and I believe all of our guys would love to play games at a full RAC one more season. I have been to 19 practices last season and I can tell you for certain how much these guys love one another and being at RU. I have also met the families of several of the players at the practices.

This may turn out to be like your Iona bet. Just sayin. I’d say better than 60% chance he plays at RU next year but again who cares. Enjoy the season and let’s see how this team plays vs BIG teams. I for one am concerned about the front half of the schedule with freshman playing without the normal OOC games and no CM & GB to start...can we not blow everything out of proportion??? Harper with 23 points per game now (and about 7 boards) - he's getting close to All B1G first team level stats, if he can sustain that level - although with Geo back one would think his points will come down a bit, but let's just say 20/7 for the season in the best conference in the country. Should be a favorite for 1st team in the conference and maybe even a shot at 3rd team AA. Awesome. Can't see him not getting drafted unless he just decides he wants to stay (would love that as a fan).

His FT percentage is not what will make him a 1st round pick lol

If Ron is averaging 20ppg throughout the season while displaying good athleticism that puts him in consideration. But there’s no way he gets viewed like your typical Villanova player who gets drafted in the 1st round as a 3 & D player if he doesn’t get that FT percentage to around 75%.
(Obviously I’m presuming he keeps up the same level of performance everywhere else and doesn’t slide)
If he keeps shooting like this from 3, some team will take a flyer in the 2nd round. His release has gotten quicker this year. If he falls back to earth a bit I think he’s at risk of going undrafted. NBA is just another planet these days. Nothing against Ron, he’s been amazing this year

🤷♂️. Ive been telling people he was the best recruit out of jersey in the 2018 class since after his freshman year. I had people laughing at me pointing to lou king and naz reid. We shall see
His release looking quicker and smoother. By removing the little hitch its one fluid motion which will increase his percentage.
@kyk1827 while I agree RHJ will eventually be an NBA player, he would really have to solidify himself in the top 45 to leave. Now gotta figure some on the kids in that group are going to be euro stashes, and then someone are going to be senior stars, like Garza and maybe a few small school guys.

Hes shooting like 50% from 3 right now which is insane an no way it keeps up. However imo if he averages over 22ppg and shoots over 38% from 3 hes out

Ron has long arms so he can contest the shot while giving himself more room to defend the drive and uses his body and positioning well
Still don’t see what the rush would be. Plenty of time to play in NBA. If everybody returns, and Cliff progresses on the exponential level that I saw possibilities of tonight, Ron should return. Top 10 team, Rockin RAC, deep NCAA run, AND an improved draft stock..
King & Reid were both "1 and done" I think.. If Naz Reid stayed in college untill his jr yr - he would put up Garza numbers without breaking a sweat. Anyways lookin fwd to seein Ron hoop in the league when he makes it
Ive had the same observations. He still looks like he’s carrying a bit of baby fat. That’s not a knock on his game - nor does it make him slow - but I can’t think of a guy in the NBA who isn’t chiseled.

Im very rarely wrong, so when I am the hawks try to point it out as it’s a rare occurrence. Im right on probably 90%+ of my predictions but people will only point out the times im wrong. Is what it is. Ron fell off big time, had he not, hes gone
Honestly if someone is making predictions and wrong more than 10% of the time that’s pretty sad. I predict Jacob DeGrom will win the Cy Young unless he gets injured.
