It’s going to be a rough year in the Big 10. The conference looks really strong in the Gavit games. Michigan absolutely smokes No. 10 Nova at Nova, Wisconsin rolls Xavier at Xavier, Indiana, with its all freshman backcourt, blows out the Big East’s only other ranked team Marquette. And, Nebraska smacks the Hall. The only loss thus far was Illinois — picked 13th in the Big 10 — losing a nail biter to G-town — picked 7th in the Big East. I think had Frazier played, UI would have won that game too.

I hope RU can hold up their end by upsetting St. John’s on Friday night!

Yes. Big 10 will be very tough conference this year as all things in College BB are cyclical as Big 10 was very down last year (with exception of top 5 squads) and Big 10 may indeed be best BB conference in land this year. ACC Challenge will be quite telling as we lost 11-3 last year.

Premier Teams - Mich State; Michigan

Real Good Teams - Maryland; Nebraska;

Solid Teams - Purdue; Iowa

Vastly Improved and Very Good Teams - Indiana; Wisconsin;

Improved Teams - Rutgers; Ohio State; Minnesota

Mediocre Teams - Northwestern; Ilinois

Teams in Regression - Penn State

Vilinova lost a lot and de not exactly reload. Quinetlynbest asset is one on one ball handling. That rarely trnslates.

Villanova and Marquette just didn't have the athletes that Michigan and Indiana did. Seton Hall lacks depth. Xavier shot very poorly. Three of those four teams are clearly rebuilding from big years/eras and the fourth (Marquette) needs to shoot the lights out against other good teams because their defense has never been good.

I'd move Indiana up a tier
