MVC and Big Sky are probably 2 best conferences in FCS. Saw UC Davis a number of games this past season and they were #2 in the Big Sky. Lost only to Montana State. Montana and Idaho are also consistently good.
3 of the 4 teams (but South Dakota) are ranked above Rutgers in the Sagarin football ratings.
I guess we should assume they lose players to the transfer portal every year, especially linemen on both sides of the ball.

Yes but even worse are January CFL games in Saskatchewan.. Fans are hard to see because of frosted air in front of them.

They interviewed the UC Davis coach whose team lost to SD in the quarterfinals. His pitch to the players is come to Davis for academics if that’s what you want or also to develop and move up to FBS and he and the staff will get them ready for that. Seems to be working as they were 11-2 going into the playoffs losing only to Montana State (Big sky champ) by 2 and Cal in the first game of the season.
