Fire Schiano!!!

Schiano and his bum coordinator and position coach hires ****ing blow. 3 more years of this, he’s gonna have such a hilariously bad record when he finally gets pitched out the door. Gonna leave us in as bad of shape as Ash.

Next years schedule does look daunting but the couple years after don't look as bad. It's hard to know these days though because as I say things are year to year with portal and all. Michigan went from NC winner to maybe not making a bowl or just barely making one. They can't even field anything resembling a competent qb yet. IU on the other hand turned it around to be 7-0 and have a shot at special season. So who knows for sure what the next year holds for most teams.

Shelby, who detests GS as a coach, as a waste of money, etc has a different take.

Today, this isn’t Schiano. Today the opponent had far too much offensive talent and speed to handle.

All the kings horses and all the kings men and the best DC in the kingdom weren’t slowing down the Trojans with our players.
USC won on the road at LSU. They do have talent. They’ve beaten far better teams than us.

The only hire that can change Rutgers football fortunes drastically and immediately is Elon Musk.

The oc is the worst in history and it's not even close. Cross the 50 9 times against nebraska and score 7 points. That record will never be broken. However running 90 plays in a college football game and scoring 20 tonight could be worse. The qb is no better than wimsatt. They ran 90 plays with three consecutive three and outs in the third quarter running the ball with a true freshman up the middle down 15 to 21 on road. Who else in college football at any level would do it?
Schiano, that’s who.

There are a lot of things to bitch about now, but to me the big red flag with this team is the collapse in things where talent level and injury issues should be no factor.

The coverage on that one kickoff was embarrassing, and we can’t even block for field goal attempts.

Again it comes down to effort, want to, and desire. For anyone who hasn't listened to GS post-game press conference you should. He now sounds like Henry Winkler in the beginning of the Waterboy, before he got his manhood back. Lol times are sad.

It's the dogshit coordinators stupid.

What Greg needs to do is go back to calling the D as he did in our most successful years and shithead Kirk needs to go at the end of the year.
Agree .Greg CAN coach A defense. Unfortunately He hired the OC and DC and WE are stuck with theme

It's a tough conference. To play at a high level, the program would have to get ready to play transfers like Indiana, Wisconsin, Washington and USC do. And even then the players might not gel and are a bust like Washington and USC and the NIL money wasted. The guys saying Schiano should be fired don't understand the game.
he understands the game, just complains about it like Rutgers is a super power and can get the best of bunch to lead it.
His game is to BMC over everything like a toll might , even if he's a fan.
Schiano isn't the answer when it comes to taking a program to the elite level, but is the type that can turn
a poop program into a fairly respectable one.
Also the type that brings high expectations from the fanbase and falls short of what's expected.

Respectable one ? Not happening this year. Schiano has always hung his hat on his Defenses being good and keeping games somewhat close. The past 3 games the D have looked like as bad as the Ash years. That speaks volumes for a Program in a Year 5 “rebuild”. With an 8 game losing streak on the horizon we are no better than Ash’s last season.

This year's schedule didnt look bad either. Injuries aside, we look horrible. Wheres the discipline? Wheres the depth? Wheres the fight? Next year, if the team is further beaten down, its gonna be tough to recover for the following couple of years.

We go through Offensive Coordinators like sht through a goose. Do we need to resurrect the list of OCs and year and some stats? Every year, every Coordinator, they can't produce here.

Unless a team is having a bad year, like MSU had a few years back when they were missing a bunch of starters due to injury, I view any Big Ten team as a tough game and any Big Ten season as a tough schedule.

Not having to play OSU, UM and PSU is nice. But it never made our schedule this season anything resembling easy, never made any game a should-win thing. If we had no serious injuries, we’d be a lot better right now and possibly winning more games. But we never had the depth to survive the injuries we’ve got without a big drop-off in competitiveness.

Ummm… Michigan lost its HC and Staff. Ummmm.. Indiana brought in a brand new HC and Staff. We need changes as well.

Yea I get it, this year was a negative surprise to most expectations. But surprises can happen in both directions, positive and negative. Maybe it's more of the same, I don't know. But it's pretty much a year to year thing for most schools so we'll see.

Sure but then how about BYU, ISU or Pitt (they did get a new OC). Ok St was a favorite for the B12 and they're at the bottom of it and Ollie Gordon hasn't lived up to what he did last year. Utah as well, they just fired their 2 time OC (wink wink I suppose lol). Change can bring surprises (negative and positive) but so can status quo. Things are year to year in most places.

Don’t understand the game? The game is about winning and he is clearly not doing it. He has 10 Big 10 wins in his time here. As pointed out on the podcast, 5 of those wins were against Tom Allen (3) and Mel Tucker (2), not exactly cream of the crop coaches running quality programs. We really are not competitive within our conference. As @mb5789 said on the podcast (I am 100% stealing his analogy), if you think of Greg’s rebuild like a rocket attempting to travel to the moon, the steps are getting off the earth, getting to space and then eventually reaching the moon. I agree Greg has done a good job getting us off the earth, but nothing is happening beyond that, no further steps or progress. Unfortunately, RU football is not SpaceX. Greg will not be fired, but people asking the question SHOULD he be fired is 100% fair game and it is a fair discussion. You stated that he SHOULD not be fired, well when the rocket ship fails, someone has to take responsibility at some point. If the program continues to lose maybe 2-3 years now Greg will be held accountable for the failed mission. But just because he will not be fired should not be twisted into justifications that he SHOULD NOT be fired.

What is going on with the defense is inexplicable.

Harysimiak is a good coach. Not only has he done well as a DC in multiple places, as head coach he got Maine to punch way above their weight.

By Far the easiest schedule we’re ever going to get. He has yet to play a ranked opponent and 2 of the 3 west coast teams came to us. Wash USC and UCLA are all in down years. No excuses Schiano is a clown

Mario Andretti in a beater Volkswagen would lose every Indy race to high school kids driving Ferraris. Our roster on both sides of the ball is too slow. No DC in history could do anything to stop the Trojans with the players we have.

At a minimum.um the injuries, particularly LB, are partially the the explanation
