quick note on how these translate to NCAA bids: rankings don't decide who goes. they just help decide how many spots can be earned by each conference at the conference tournaments. so guys in the top 29(ish) will earn a spot for the B1G.

if the B1G gets 9 spots in a weight, then you have to finish top 9 to get a bid. after the tournament, a committee fills out the rest of the weights with wild card invites.

if you earn a spot for your weight but then don't wrestle in the conference tourney, your conference losses that spot and that weight gains a wild card invite.

if you don't wrestle enough matches to earn a spot for your conference, you can still show up for the conference tournament and "steal" a spot someone else earned. there are no automatic bids, but if you are good enough and don't earn a bid at the tournament (injury or bad day), you can still have a nearly automatic chance of earning the bid.

When does the NCAA announce how many bids each conference receives for the tourney? I think we have a great shot at sending all 6 to the tourney and possibly even Paetzall and/or Correnti if both get hot from now to March.

Correnti has almost no chance to earn a bid for the conference. His only shot is if the Big earns say 7 bids, he will need to finish in the top 7 at the Big10 tourney. Paetzall could earn a bid if he beats the remaining guys on the schedule.
Remember wins against Non-D 1 wrestlers do not count on your record for any metric to get you a bid.

can't remember exact dates but its right before the tournaments, after all the other duals.

I remember the old days when we would only send 1 or 2 wrestlers to the NCAA tournament and bemoan about how Rider was so much better than us at the sport.
