Not a big fan of the nickname "Fightn' Stringers".

How about Viv's vivacious , vicious , vicarious Vivesome !

Or Viv's Bevy of Beauties ? (sexist?, not pc?)

OR Stringer's Stranglers?

Or Abro's favorite fivesome ?

Or Pike's Envy ?

Or The Pride of Piscataway?

Or C Viv's Figthn Fivesome ?

Or C Viv's Bouncers?

Or ?

Anyway, I'm gong to stick The Fightn' Stringers for a while because I'm the one who came up with it, and I'm the one posting.

But thanks for reading. All comments are welcome. Quickly disposed of, but welcome. :-)

Smile !

5-3 Indiana vs 6-2 Maryland and 6-2 Iowa vs 6-2 Purdue today.
Go Hoosiers and Boilermakers to give us a little more separation IF
we take care of business vs. Penn State. The first is obvious as an Indiana
win leaves both with 3 conference losses. In the second game
better for us for Iowa to get the loss as they would hold the head-to-head
tie breaker against us. Rutgers has the head-to-head against Purdue
should there be ties at the end of the season. We do not play Iowa or Purdue a second time. Our home and home opponents are Penn State, Maryland,
Indiana, Ohio State and Minnesota. We have our second Penn State game today but have yet to play Ohio State or Indiana or Minny

On the halftime show of the Maryland- Indiana game , they were discussing which ranked Big10 team was most vulnerable today. They concluded it was Michigan St (playing Michigan today).

Maryland at Indiana Bloomington, IN 12:00 pm BTN
Michigan State at Michigan Ann Arbor, MI 2:00 pm BTN
Rutgers at Penn State University Park, PA 2:00 pm BTN Plus
Northwestern at Illinois Champaign, IL 3:00 pm BTN Plus
Purdue at Iowa

Refs giving the game to Maryland. Awful calls, and non-calls. 46-29 almost end of 3rd.

15 minutes to tip off. Hope we get off to a good start, hate playing from behind. Team should be excited to get back on the winning track:

Broadcast opens with the BTN commentators praising RU's defense , specifically Stasha Carey with her shot blocking abilities !

Ru trails 13-9 w 3 min left in the 1st qtr. The RU offense disappeared after a hot 7-0 start.

5 turnovers, wow. As bad an offensive stretch as I've seen in a while from RU

8 min left in the half, RU losing 16-12

Finally hit a basket. PSU D causing problems.

Good timeout by Viv, to have the team adjust to the pressure.WAY too many turnovers. RU losing 16-12 w 7 min left in half.

This game is very similar to the mens game against Penn State with horrendous shooting by both teams and too many turnovers.Carey should get more shots.Penn State leads 24-22 because of made foul shots.Penn State stinks but Rutgers is allowing the opponent hang around.

We need to go inside more. We have 12 points to their 4. We can dominate inside and cause them to foul.

Pelc, she struggle with high pace. Zippy is coming into her own. RU needs not to foul as much, it's the only thing keeping PSU in the game, they are shooting under 20 percent from the field. Biggest thing for Ru is not to turn the ball over. Ru has 9 turnovers to PSU 5. That stat usually RU owns. Keep our best ball handlers in. Pelc isn't one of them , her and Calhoun are the 3 point shooters. Calhoun only played 3 min.

RU opens up some room, up 38-29 w 4 min left in 3rd. However RU has picked up a ton of fouls, PSU will be shooting bonus almost the entire 2nd half.

PSU needs to call a time out. RU leads by 12 w a min to go in 3rd. Nice post game going now.

End of 3 , RU leads 47-39. Only thing keeping PSU in the game is RU sending them to the foul line.

Up 8 heading into the 4th quarter. We need to keep the pressure on. We were up 12 there and let them creep back in with a needless reach-in by CC. And Mack needs to play within herself. Sometimes she tries to do too much. And Calhoun, who can shoot the 3 ball, hits one, but then goes into here cocoon and misses two shots in a row. She needs to keep her focus. she doesn't always have to shoot from behind the arc. We need her and Pelc to hit those outside shots.

Come on ladies! Damn! Guriantes!!!!! Now we're only up 3.

What's with all the fouling? I can't see the game. Are we really fouling this much?
