Game Thread: RU vs Minn 6pm BTN TV, story :

48% shooting to 26% shooting and only down 6.....RU boarding them up 27-19..thats why....amazing considering how poorly we are playing offensively

Bad end to the half with TOs and defensive lapses. 43-33. Not out of it, but with such a challenged offense, coming back from 10 down is tough.

Team beating themselves tonight. Unforced errors are a killer. Too many fast breaks for Minny.

Don't just look at shooting percentage. Look where shots are coming from. Are they contested? It's more than just a numbers game.

Issa had two 3's go in and out... he needs to keep shooting the open looks.

I'm getting closer and closer to hoping Corey goes pro after the year and we can all wish him luck overseas. I appreciate him sticking with the program through the Eddie year and the transition but he's regressed if anything.

Its easy to see how Minnesota scores over 80 points in prior games.

We've had so many open looks and we just can't knock them down. We must have had ten open looks from 3 point land and made two of them. Also, Corey just doesn't have it tonight. He's got to stop thinking he can dribble drive to the basket with their tall trees waiting for him. He's going to get stuffed every time without them fouling on the body. What has hurt us besides woeful shooting are TO's. Even with that we were in this game at the end of the first half until the successive TO's.

I hope Pikiell has a strategy to go after Murphy right away and get his 4th foul. That would help unless of course we still have trouble knocking down our shots.

So mad about the last couple of possessions. Really need to milk that one down for a good shot. That way no matter what you go into half under 10 down. Instead Gene does a brain fart alley oop pass. Love Gene, but don't do that in that situation on the road.

Huge overreaction. He's averaging 13 points, 5 boards and 3.7 assists to 2.0 TOs per game. Yes, his shooting % is low (37%), but he's 79% from the line and usually gets the toughest defensive assignment. How in the world anyone wouldn't want our best player (not tonight, but overall) back is beyond me.

Are you suggesting that the tradition of players not developing, remains? It would be interesting to know who on the staff takes responsibility for "shooting".

Because he's always been inefficient and that hasn't changed. How many starting guards in the Big Ten can't make a 3-pointer? He's 3-22 this year.

All these emotional posts are silly. It’s obvious that UM is way more talented. We are playing hard and not leaving anything on the floor.

Murphy of Minnesota is a b****. As I said earlier in the thread he over acts and he sells it so well to the officials. They fall for it every time.

On the road so it’s just a matter of being how much ... need to keep under 20

Omoruyi should enter a strongman contest. He's apparently the strongest man in the world.
