The scoreboard may show a romp, but this game was much closer until we imploded with about 5+ minutes left in the game. Freeman has not learned yet that he cannot drive inside with guys 3-5 inches taller. He should learn to settle for a six foot jump shot. Corey picked it up in the second half until the T but he was out of control much of this game, and he too needs to learn that if you're going to drive you have to use your body to go up, because he was getting easily blocked.
Eugene to me is the biggest surprised. Man, he's learned to be more aggressive and decisive. I really like his game on the offensive side and he's only going to get better for us. However, his help defense is lacking and he needs to understand that and pick it up.
Mike Williams is a warrior but he is never going to be the so-called scorer from the outside that EJ expected. He still can't hit open shots. Thiam looked much better this game, and I really believe Doucoure is going to improve immensely. He is deadly from the elbow. Now he needs to learn the inside game better.
Geo is a player. I really like him and I think he can become an all-B1G player by his junior year. He has all the skills on both sides of the ball.
Remember this was an 8 point game with about 5+ left until we started to turn the ball over and the officials, (yes BAC the officials) which called IMO an atrocious game put their stamp of total BS on the game and caused an 8 point swing in less than a minute to have a 3 possession game turn into the appearance of a blowout.
