We really need a guy like Mason - would be a huge difference maker for us
not when he does not help the team and is selfish
contrast with the poise that Baker brings to the team during adversity
not his best game but has something to do with Minne's front court which is STELLAR.

last couple minutes the wheels came off, looks worse than it was, but RU competed tonight..again margin of error slim as the announcer said..need more talent
We are definitely better when Corey is on the court and he is playing in control, playing hard D, and not turning the ball over. The good Corey. When he is turning the ball over, not hitting shots, jawing at the refs, that's the bad Corey. Better or not doesn't matter. We aren't winning with bad Corey. Not a B1G game.
Its hard to be angry. We just don't have enough to beat a team like this on the road. Nobody's fault, it's just what we are right now.
freeman and corey take most of our shots and are usually out of control looking for a whistle and cannot finish.
Few thoughts on tonite's game:
So much talk about Mensah's offensive woes but his defense might be worst than his offense
Rutgers played hard, rebounded well, defended solid for the most part but if you cannot hit shots you will not win games against Big 10 opponents
It's exciting to watch Eugene grow as a player. He's getting more and more confident
Geo Baker will be a good player for Rutgers. Excited to see a guard rotation of Sanders, Montez, Baker and Kiss next season
Doucoure was impressive against Minnesota's talented bigs. That 10 foot jumper looks good. He has All Big 10 potential. Great get for RU

much like last year, the early season schedule sort of masks what we have....reality starts settiing in when we play real teams

Our hoops and football teams couldn’t be any better mirror images of each other.

Football won 3 more conference games than the previous year. Will M BB? I hope so. W BB certainly will.
it will get better as we turn the roster over and Pike gets his guys in....not saying that trio do not bring anything or that we are better without them but all 3 have limitations to their game that show up and we will need better to win league games
He is a warrior, but Carter will be an upgrade for us in Big 10 play.
Also doesn't help that we are playing the (arguably) #2 B1G on the road, followed by the (not arguably) best team in the conference. I'm kind of glad we are getting this early.
We'll be lucky to get to .500. Better than football yes, but that really isn't saying much.
P.S. I only predicted 1 game over .500. I didn't drink the cool aid.
Can’t shoot like we do and expect to win conference games, let alone conference games on the road. We are going to have a similar season as we did last year. What I take out of this game is our future. Baker, Doucoure, Omoruyi and Thiam. I like where we are headed with that group and Pikiell leading them.
Or pass and do more to get open looks to players making shots. Thiam was 2-4 from 3
The talent disparity goes back to Big East days and sadly Rutgers still hasn't caught up with league competition.The inability to recruit consistent shooters has been a ongoing nightmare .
Through in the women's hoops team as of the last several years. Our women's soccer team plays the same way, and our men's team can't score or play D.
