Impact of S&C Coach Dave Van Dyke

Let's hope . All we heard was Kenny Parker was paying dividends with our football team that's getting pushed around this year .

Anyone who knows me know I have had a DECADE plus beef with the Strength and Conditioning program in our basketball program...

ESPECIALLY the conditioning part.

This is MUSIC to my ears

however...the real dividend will be NEXT year after the S&C had had these guys for a SECOND year

The whole team except for Gettys comes back next year...

So....this is part of my upside hopes

I agree Shack. ts an argument I've had on this board for years and years. People have argued that its always about the talent and I have always said that we have always recruited enough talent to make the post season but we have been awful at developing talent. Now we have a coach that emphasizes in developing the talent.

I don't think it should be expected that S+C have an impact in one off season. Lifting and eating right for three years versus lifting and eating right for 4 months, who wins?Need to be somewhat realistic.

s+c is a 3-4 year process. If guys could be whipped into top shape in 1 year, there would be way more redshirt freshmen playing

the fact that our old S+C thought high school kids would come into the program understanding how to properly lift with little instruction probably makes him one of the biggest failures in the industry at his job.

Thanks for collecting your paycheck. I really hope nobody hires you for this again.
