***Leonte Carroo suspended***

Hey defenders

At some point, you have to realize that there needs to be accountability at the top.

If I am CEO of a major organization and 5 percent of my staff gets their names in the paper in a negative way, well, let's just say I won't be CEO for long

here is a suggestion.....for the time being avoid RU scandal threads and get involved in threads that discuss actual football.....start a thread on Hackenberg, will he be protected this coming week and have a big game for your team, for example......I would actually be
interested in that discussion from a PSU view point

...avoid calling our program out of control.....stop posting on this thread......just a suggestion....

Why don't you read the actual football threads as I post in them frequently.

It's called walk away and I imagine Flood suggested that to his players if a situation arises. Guess they don't listen to him.

my suggestion was to stick to that, and leave this thread.....a lot of RU fans do not want to hear
a PSU viewpoint on scandals, no offense...

you are always welcome to discuss football, that goes for any fan of any program.

Hey Penn st. Your the last guy who should talk..BIG diff between a fight and what went down up there dude. Worry about your own issues and stay on your board will ya. You have an over rated program anyway. Not what it used to be. lost to Temple and struggled with Buffalo. We'll see you next week...
Alyssa, he acknowledged that in his post. He isn't bashing us--sometimes the truth comes from the outside and it stings, but there's nothing he said that anyone on here has a basis for contradicting. We are a shitshow right now and need to get discipline back in the program. As for him going back to his own board, he already said he doesn't like it over there--that should tell you something.

Alyssa, KJB fully acknowledged that his problem was bigger, way bigger than ours. He has been a sane and helpful poster on this board and does not deserve any of that.

Good God, it's beginning to feel like when you go to check out at the supermarket and you see a completely off the wall tabloid headline like: "Man marries alien; commutes to Earth from Mars every day", you shake your head and wonder who the hell could ever believe anything like that?

But then, when a guy like Carroo, someone I've always looked upon as THE prototypical Rutgers man, gets suspended for something off the field...not once, but twice, (one being, ugh, indefinite)...it makes you start to wonder how many miles per gallon the guy who commutes from Mars might actually be getting? -I mean, all of the stuff that's hit the fan in the last 2 weeks or so is beginning to seem absolutely surreal.

So I hope it's possible this isn't as bad as it first appeared. The SL article gives me some hope.
This. I can certainly see a scenario where Carroo intervened and pushed the females apart and in the process the one that was not his acquaintance fell down during the break up of the fight. Right now, some people here are going straight to the worst case scenario thinking Carroo outright decked a woman with a right hook.

Hey, man... there's this guy... he invented a car - and it runs on water, man!

So that would explain the arrest and having to make bail? (as opposed to being ROR'd)

Sorry, guys.

Well, this is the first I heard of him being arrested. The SL story doesn't mention an arrest. Sounds like you know more details than many. Not trying to downplay anything. If you know the details, let it rip.

Seems pretty bad from what's on the round table. Very bad.

If you are going to post this, please share with us what "seems pretty bad, very bad" Are you concerned we can't handle it? Just write allegedly before you write what happened.

Sorry to a fellow Knight but I took his comment as he meant it. I actually appreciated it. It puts things in context.

Yeah things around here are shitty right now. They are nowhere near what ttfp went through.

He's not lying. A poster in the know has said this is going to get very very ugly.

Not going to share premium info, sorry. Hope you understand..there's a reason they charge for that.

Just saying from what "people in the know" are hearing, it's not good for anyone.

How has it not hit the news yet? It's not mentioned in any news stories.

Why is it that people assume "the news" has 100% of all sources covered? Especially in this day and age. Guys like Duggan and Politi, they're not making phone calls to actual sources. They're making phone calls to information desks. The notion of "investigation" in journalism died a long time ago.

Oh now it hits home. The star WR does something stupid and this is the "final straw"...time for the HC to get fired! Carroo is 22 years old, Flood isn't his legal guardian. The ridiculousness of it all is all the lightweights who think because the kid decided to come back for his last year of eligibility he is a saint. These players are young adults, the coaching staff doesn't hold their hands off the field. I saw an interview with Carroo after yesterday's game...he went on about how the team needed to "finish" and how everyone will be held "accountable". An hour later he goes out and gets involved in some stupid off field argument. Sorry that is on Carroo..not the HC at Rutgers. As for the possible replacements from the OP ....about 4 of them are currently under contract and unavailable. Also laughed at the suggestion of Urban Meyer....yeah ...RU will pony up about 6 mill a year for a guy who while the HC at Florida had about 35 arrests in 4 years....sounds like the disciplinarian that RU is apparently in dire need of.

You can't even hate on NJ.com at this point. The sunshine brigade was repeatedly warned about things coming apart under Flood and some of them continue to think he should have no blame for 7 arrests and losing to a team that lost to AA.

Flood needs to instill in these guys that they represent the program (and ultimately the head coach). It's obvious he either hasn't done that or the players don't respect him enough to care. Either way it's a terrible reflection of the HC.

That he was arrested? I don't see it anywhere. Link?
My bad--I thought you were looking for confirmation in the broader media that something had happened, not that he was arrested. That will come out shortly, no doubt. 4Real's sources are pretty reliable.
