Let's go METS 2016 thread ......Just get in and anything can happen!

Cespedes and Cabrera both said they felt good after their games. Reyes Cabrera Cespedes Bruce walker
If we can stay within 3 games of the second WC before they all come back, that would be fantastic.

I'd include Conforto in the group mentioned. He just needs playing time and should get it at Granderson's expense. He's an all-around upgrade to what we're getting from Grandy. I'd be surprised if he wasn't brought back while the team was out west.

Wasn't Conforto sent down? Really need strong series against San Francisco and then the Cards. And they have multiple shots at the Marlins coming up. Pirates are surging. . . . .

Maybe the Giants will let the Mets have Angel Pagan back?
While not a power hitter, he has solidly hit in the high .280's/.290 for the last 5 years.

Pagan is a diminished player. The injuries have hurt him. His defensive metrics have dropped significantly over the last two years.
Yes they sent Conforto down, but I'd be surprised if they didn't bring him back while out west.
Granderson is a bench player but TC refuses to accept that. Regardless of how much he's being paid, I can't imagine Alderson allowing TC to continue to play him every day. De aza, after a short hot streak, back to his sub .200 b.a. for the month. Conforto is a major league hitter who plays an average center field but his accurate arm makes up for lack of arm strength. If he plays everday and bats third, he's probably a 20/80 guy. He's just better than the other options we currently have in center.

Nope. Check out their remaining schedule....and try not to laugh
They finish with 7 of the last 10 games vs. the Phillies.
And the series before those final 10 is vs. the Braves.
Oh yeah....the three of the 10 final games NOT vs. the Phillies are against the Stanton-less Marlins.
Another season where Christmas comes early for the mets.

BTW, which New York MLB team has the best record this season ?

Tough loss by the Yanks last night. Blame it on the rain.
I'm gonna go with the Conforto rule vis-a-vis Judge and Sanchez.....let's see a little bit larger body of work before we call them stars.
BTW, one more game vs. the sorry D-backs and the mets will have to play a winning team....go Giants.
Which New York MLB team has the best record this season ?

Outfield for next year:
Cespedes, DeAza (crucify me if you wish--but he has shown good range, and his bat picked up--better than Grandy), Conforto and Lagares. Don't think Bruce is worth the money to keep.

I may be wrong, but I think DeAza is on a 1-year deal now and Bruce is under control for '17.

Bruce is under team control for 2017 but not under contract. The Mets hold a team option for $13M. If the Mets do not exercise the option, Bruce is only owed a $1M buyout.

De Aza is a free agent in 2017 as stated above.

As far as other Met OF prospects, none expected to be ready in 2017.

Trolling...schmolling.
I think I sorta explained the way I feel about your complaint already:
"As for Yankees fans having the audacity to inject some truth and reality into a thread ON THE RUTGERS FOOTBALL BOARD, I suggest you take it to the mets board.....where I promise you we will never venture. Other than that, I suggest if you wanna post dumbass stuff here about the mets...too bad. I see no reason as a regular poster here to not feel free to respond with the truth to any thread ...whether it's the mets, London broil, the weather, or Jimmy Buffet."
metsrefugees.com - I'm on there all the time.

You're still a troll.

That's funny. Keep trying. Nine is a pretty big number....especially when the next biggest is five.
You go just about anywhere in the world and the people will know about the New York Yankees. Ask them about the mets and they'll wonder if you are referring to that city in France.

5 of them also happened when they spent 50% more than the closest team. Their financial advantage is over and so is their success.

We shall see, Kreskin. We shall see.
But then you're hardly an objective observer. And a fan of a team that hasn't won even one in 30 years...and then only one in over 45 years. So what would you know about winning it all ?
BTW, I think the Yankees will always have a financial advantage over certain teams....like the one from Queens.
And again....which New York MLB team has the best record this season ?

Ouch !
I've generally found over the years that mets fans are very good at name-calling.
That and overestimating the talents of their players. Oh yeah....and the impact of prayer on a baseball game.
Ya gotta believe.

The money spent was nothing compared to the 'roids. Those Yankees teams juiced more than any team this side of the '89-'90 A's. The Captain's lockerroom worked like a performance enhancing meth lab. Jeetz getting away unscathed certainly deserves:

And you know this because.....?
Frankly, I've always found the vitriol of Yankee-haters to be sorta a compliment.
As a Yankees fan I got to root for Jeter and Mariano....you didn't.
I sure liked THOSE odds.

I agree. Cap tip to Piazza, Jeetz and Mariano for getting away with what Clemens, Giambi, ARod, Pettite, Bonds and Sosa couldn't.

Everyone juiced in the late 90s and 00s. The Yankees were no different than anyone else.

When you lose 5 out 6 to Arizona, you should shut down the season.

I watched some of their game tonight. It looks like they HAVE shut down the season....sorta.
Anybody know which New York MLB team has a winning record thus far this season ?
Yep...it's the sellers.

Kbee, we get it, the Mets are in a free fall, lol. You still haven't posted on the Yankee thread which I believe has fallen off the planet, proving even when they are playing a good stretch, their NOT worth talking about. That has to be depressing no?

Mets have sucked for the better part of 3 months now. It's been an extremely frustrating season. They're pretty much toast, NOTHING has been good this year except for degrom, Thor, 'Tolo, Reyes, and cespedes. 2 hitters playing to their potential ain't gonna get it done, and now they're just completely out of sync.

Pitchers pitch well, they don't score. Hitters hit well, they don't pitch. A tell tale sign of a bad team. And then of course you have straight up stinkers thrown in there, 13-5 blows outs like the other night and 8-1 last night. Move onto 2017, shut down Matz and Thor. And please for the love of GOD fire terry this offseason(F it fire him right now!!!!) he makes Jerry Manuel look like Larussa
