Let's go METS 2016 thread ......Just get in and anything can happen!

OK. I take back what I said above. At least it's not Niese. Maybe Terry could put him out there in a leg brace?
This is an Alderson reclamation project. Starting him against the Fish in the middle of a playoff race is stupid. I wouldn't recommend starting anyone from AA, but if you're going to do that, you bring up Knapp. He's 4-0 in his last 5 starts.

TC used Henderson in the last two blowouts, so that he can use Robles today in a high leverage situation. Another genius move by Terry. Maybe he just hasn't been paying attention to Robles' performance over the last month.

I won't be surprised, if he gives one of those "aw shucks, fuk if I know" faces while muttering an incomprehensible explanation during his presser.

Jay Bruce 1/8 with 7 strikeouts this series. [sick]
This is what the Mets gave up "the second baseman of the future who made Daniel Murphy replaceable" for??? Just like giving up Melvin Mora for a life size cutout of Mike Bordick back in 1999.

And as TC pushed his luck by keeping Lugo in an inning too long vs the Giants, he did it again with Gsellman today. Both young pitchers had great performances in their starts erased by an idiot manager.

GOOD GRIEF HTF IS TC STILL EMPLOYED????

The ferry ride from Highlands was a blast last night. Loaded with Mets fans and a few Phillies fans. Expensive ride, but stress free, has a bar if you drink, and great views of NYC, especially at night. Where are you watching the RU Washington game?
Not sure yet. Maybe at my sister in law's,she lives in North Middletown. I have FIOS, so I'm looking for a way to get in on ROKU or online, but everything that's been posted so far hasn't worked for me.

I didn't say I was happy with getting rid of Beltran, Chapman, and Miller. I said that since these and other moves were made the Yankees have played better and are making a move at a playoff spot. I'm happy with THAT. And I've got a firm policy that whenever my team makes a move that improves the team I'm down with that....even if I didn't like the move when it happened.
And just for the record....they ARE doing better than the sellers.
And please answer my question.....which New York MLB team is better ?

Wow ! Florida up next. How did a team with a winning record end up on the mets late-season schedule ? Good luck vs. Mattingly's guys.
Of course the Yanks have a series next with another winning team...KC...you guys remember KC...right ?
Why does it seem like every team we play down the stretch has a winning record ?

Looks like Val's in Rumson will have it and there will be several from this board there to view the game. Should be quiet there on Saturday of Labor Day weekend at 2 p.m.

Too funny.

BTW, I add reality to this thread. Reality like "which New York MLB team has the best record ?" and "how many games do the mets have left on their schedule vs. teams with losing records ?"
Can't handle it, huh ? Prefer to hide, huh ?

:cool2:[banana]:cool2:[banana]:cool2:

Ok, Thanks, I'll see what KBEE is up to, maybe he'll want to join us Mets fans,LMAO. After the Scarlet Knights kick off the season with a sterling win against a Top 25 team, we can relax a bit and watch the Mets beat the Nationals later that Knight!!!!!

Thanks for thinking of me, but I already have plans to watch the game with some pals up here in North Jersey. Some of them are actually mets fans.....though not the super-softy type like there appears to be in this thread. They try in their own feeble way to give as well as they get, but they're mets fans so they don't have much material to work with.
Hopefully the Yanks will still be the #1 New York MLB team this Saturday.
And a Rutgers win would be even better.

Those three Yankee threads would not have drifted off the first page if it got as much traffic by Yankee fans as there is on this Mets thread.

Interesting. You DO know that the Yankees and the mets were both at home for a three-game series this weekend ? I believe the Yanks averaged over 38,000 in attendance and the mets were something like 31,000, 35,000, and 31,000.
Where's that knucklehead who claimed that the mets now "owned the city" ?
And which New York MLB team is having the better season ?

What in the blue f*** does this have to do with the three Yankee threads that disppeared you obnoxious ****? Those Yankee threads wouldnt have disappered if you had posted this BS on those threads.

You just like to see yourself typing gibberish like the guy who needed the labotomy on Shutter Island. Sorry sack of ****!!!

BTW, i did mention A FEW TIMES that Florida having a good year with a winning record this year under Mattingly. Your the ignorant dufua who chose to ignore that fact because it went against your NL East drivel.

Ignore the troll. He will soon be talking to himself. IIRC, he was responding to his own threads. What kind of mental patient does that? And still wondering WTF that deranged looking animal is as his avatar.

The Yankees have a better record than the Marlins and are in 4th place in their division.
The Marlins are in 2nd place in their division.

and BTW, which New York MLB team has had a more successful season ?

Lost a day on the calendar yesterday, but remain 2.5 out of the WC with STL losing yesterday. Big 4-game series with MIA coming up. Mets are going to have to score in order to win this series with Montero, Lugo, Colon and ??? as the 4 listed starters. MIA throws Fernandez tonight which could be...fun...

Other series of note this week:

STL @MIL
PIT @ CHC
ARZ @ SF

This Jay Bruce output is far from unexpected (and sadly would have been the same last year). Yet somehow they stumbled onto Cespedes instead (not so much this year). :(

So today is a throw away game?
We're playing shorthanded on the bench. We're starting a guy who probably won't get past the 4th inning. TC benched Bruce. However, Grandy never gets benched, regardless of how terribly he plays.

As an aside, why did we sit Ces for yesterday's winnable game but have him in there against Fernandez? I have no idea what the organization is doing.
