Another what if. Time to move on for both sides but you knew this was happening once he just shut it down and Pike says he looks great.
ngl the idea that we helped with his teeth issue, his ACL (for over a year) and to have little remorse about just walking away is weird to me but hey live your life.Thank you for your service and goodbye. Should have cut ties last spring
These players are insufferable. Imagine Rutgers taking care of his injury and giving cash but then the kid acts like this...disgraceful
Even if we could "match" his market value, I'm ready to move on from the Mag era. As much as I liked him as a player when he was healthy, I'm done with the drama.ngl the idea that we helped with his teeth issue, his ACL (for over a year) and to have little remorse about just walking away is weird to me but hey live your life.
I'm very curious as to how much more $$ he can get elsewhere, espectially considering he hasn't played a full season since he was a frosh
more than fair. Pike told those who were willing to listen and believeEven if it may hurt the team on the floor, I'm glad to see him gone. I think the board was more than fair in trying to give Mawot the benefit of the doubt even when our more cynical/realistic sides told us otherwise. Goodby and good riddance.
PLUS did what he did to RU this yearI guess we’re going to find out what the market value is for a defensive specialist who misses about 2/3 of the season to injury.
He stayed last year because of what Rutgers did for him and because of Steve. He was offered a huge number by an SEC team and stayed. I felt that such loyalty would carry over. It's a new world. As to Cliff, he was offered high 6 figures last year and stayed. Stayed for much less. His parents wanted a Rutgers degree. He will get that. Can't see him staying.Pretty sure RU72 was emphatic that Mag would stay because of Pike sticking by him and his various and serious injuries.
Makes me think Pike was covering for Mag in part to hide some of the disfunction.

I might hold onto my season tickets for one more year then I’m done. This is minor league professional basketball at this point. He stayed last year because of what Rutgers did for him and because of Steve. He was offered a huge number by an SEC team and stayed. I was thinking this exact thing. Probably just naive to the whole situation as he was just sticking up for his teammate.Wonder what Gavin thinks know?
Of course he can get paid. There are more workarounds than sand on a beach.I thought Cliff couldnt get paid
I don't know anything about these things.....So where is all this money coming from? How are we paying Ace and Dylan? Is it from the same pool that could have kept Cam and Paul here? Or have Cliff stay?Of course he can get paid. There are more workarounds than sand on a beach.
he wasn't going to be offered a spot even if he wanted back....I'm glad he made the deciding public early in the process and hope he lands on a good place. I don't know what changed in him from last January to this year, but it's a shame it didn't work out. I'll just leave it at that.
He burned bridges of both coaching staff and players.I don’t get why he wouldn’t wanna play on next year’s team.
Teammates often become friends who circle the wagons, especially now that they're paid employeesWonder what Gavin thinks know?
Ace and Dylan from 3rd party sources who are well documented.I don't know anything about these things.....So where is all this money coming from? How are we paying Ace and Dylan? Is it from the same pool that could have kept Cam and Paul here? Or have Cliff stay?
I know he did, just not sure why. Maybe he burned them before next year’s team started to come into focus? He burned bridges of both coaching staff and players.
So monies paid to Ace and Dylan have no impact on the compensation of the rest of the guys.Ace and Dylan from 3rd party sources who are well documented.
