No. 3 Rutgers Men's Lacrosse Plays No. 1 Maryland In Big Ten Title Game / Saturday night at 8 p.m.

When your ONLY FOGO is playing hurt and you are a mediocre clearing team you have trouble holding leads. Just ask Duke.

Of course Quint will say ND deserves the 2nd seed in the tourney.
To me, that Duke/ND game was an elimination game, but you know the corrupt committee will find a way to try to get both in. Hopefully Georgetown takes out Nova so there are no real bid thieves and OSU gets in safely.

A team that would go winless in the Big 10, Ivy League, ACC, Big East or Patriot League.

Have to wonder about the AQ system.
It sucks for more deserving teams that will get left out but it is good for the game. Lax is EXPLODING at the HS level but the hurdles to start any new Men’s D1 sport are extremely high, mainly due to title 9.

Having a realistic path to the NCAA tournament is one of the few incentives available to encourage colleges to launch a new program. St. Bona started up their program only a few years ago and they came close to making the tourney.

I hoping seeing some smaller schools have early success will get some P5 teams to find a way to get off the fence and jump in. Specifically, I would love to see the PAC 12 make the move. There’s are kid from SoCal alone all over D1 rosters. USC, UCLA, Stanford, Cal, Colorado and the Arizona schools could get real good real fast. And Utah could have a more natural home. Even the Origin and Washington schools could do well. It would be awesome for the short to be truly national.

RU has been in the wrong side of that fence … but not this year!

If a loss hoping for a 6/7 seed … with a win get 2nd seed.

Expected RU to make the final, so good to see that. Extremely happy with the record.

Anything else is icing on the cake.

Actually, Ohio State being left out maybe a good thing. People thought it sucked Rutgers got left out those years but they never had the power to do anything about it. Screw the flag ship program from there Big Ten conference and people may do something about it as Cali has mentioned many times that power needs to be taken back from the ACC and Baltimore mafia.

For us if it happened again maybe the squeaky wheel gets the grease… For Ohio State they’re the whole wagon :)

Ohio St won't get left out with their win over Notre Dame, which also helps with Duke. Not to mention their blow out of UNC.

A REAL D2 might he a better long term solution, as Title IX is not going away. D3 is real and thriving.

Good point. If OSU/Michigan aka B1G royalty gets screwed over, then the Baltimore Mafia better be ready for war/court moving forward. B1G will be out for blood.

8-1 half way through the 2nd. Georgetown will either be the 1 or 2 seed depending on the Rutgers - Maryland result.

GT holds off a late Nova surge and pulls out the win 14-12 and prevents the bid theft.

Internet down in Atlantic City. I may just hang out in this thread with you guys for the game. I have a bad feeling about it anyway…

SCORE 5-2 Maryland .Poor passing by Rutgers along with failure to win faceoffs.

"expected RU to make the final?". Didn't you have Rutgers going 2-3 in conference?

MD won’t let us get near the goal, playing suffocating defense and causing multiple turnovers.

Not our best quarter. Settle down, keep moving the rock. Our D is actually playing well. We aren't giving them easy looks. Turnovers lead to 2 of those goals.

Need to take care of the ball better.
