OT: 2023 NJ HS Football Season

He could definitely be a very good P5 RB.

I’m still shocked that I have to argue this with others because they still say that he’s not that good of a HS QB to play college, which I’m like 🤦🏻‍♂️.
Not QB at a P-5 but any other position is on the table.

And if we consider Chaminade Madonna a good football team just watch Mater Dei again this season . Quite funny to look at that roster and wonder what money can buy . Will try and catch Kahuku Hawaii vs Mater Dei today.
Bishop Gorman should be #1

He’s the best NJ athlete talent I remember since Jabrill Peppers

And why should Rutgers fans care about this player? I think it’s great he is going to Stanford and wish him well but no , he won’t be their QB except in the “ wildcat”.

I know Rutgers is not currently in on Micah but it would not shock me at all if we make a late push and snag him.

Because people are talking about HS players in this isa NJ HS Football thread. You going to get pissy if people talk about Schalick and Wildwood because none of those players are going to Rutgers?

Wallkill Valley 23 High Point 20
double overtime 23 yard Field goal on 4th down for the win

He ain’t coming here so why should we care. Good player who like some others prefer to go elsewhere.

So youre the Rutgers thread police and we don’t have your permission to talk about games with hs kids on Schalick, Wildwood, or even Wallkill Valley, Ferris, Dover, or any other High School player not going to Rutgers on a thread talking about HS players playing in NJ HS Football Games because you say so????

Get off your high horse, hijacking tool.

WTF are you talking about? I only said the Ford kid was not flipping to Rutgers. Never mentioned anyone else, never even hinted about other schools, coaches or players. So no idiot you get off your HIGH horse. I never root for players on the other team …once they go they’re gone. I would re read what you said and nobody hijacked anything.Sorry you were butt hurt.

No one is talking about Stanford in this thread that triggered you to talk about WHO CARES??? like he stole something from you: Other than the one guy talking about National HS team, most are talking about NJ HS football. And most of them have players going elsewhere but never triggered you. Not everything is about you:

I’m triggered because Ford’s going to Stanford? Could care less but he’s not coming here. FWIW : you are the only one calling people out it would seem. Calling someone a douche because he mentioned NYC and the very bad situation there I would suggest you try to see why NYC is in the crapper in many areas.

Yup, thread hijacked esp bringing in politics into this thread from elsewhere teying to prove yours is bigger or whatever.

You remember someone in this thread mentioned Texas border and you referred to him as a douche? As I maintain the only douche is you unfortunately.

Better is your stupidity where the mayor of NYC calls it out that NYC and Boros are a mess.😜🤡

You and I guess your friend are the ones who continues to bring politics into sports discussions you douchebag. I don’t give a rats ass about politicians or CE Zealots who continue to drag everything down to their levels.

Congrats in ruining this thread. You can maintain your opinions up your ass

Not politics … it was a news story on CNN, MSNBC… a crime story if you are too dumb to realize this. Triggered by the truth buddy?

Chaminade made a statement. Beat NJ’s best 61-21.
I know bc is a parochial but as far as highschool sports go, northern schools are at a disadvantage to southern schools in terms of the districts IMHO..
South Jersey has an advantage over North Jersey in this regard though because it's the "regional" highschools in South Jersey that can pool talent from a large area..instead of just being able to get kids from one town or one part of a larger city, most public schools in southern states, get a pool of athletes from half of or an entire county..

At least this is what I tell my southern friends when they compare NJ HS football to the south..but recently I've noticed they may even be superior teams in basketball..wheeler HS In Ga. Had about 6 or 7 d1 recruits and 2 4s and the no. 1 recruit in the nation last year. Similar to Camden but GA has like 5 or 6 public highschools like this...I'm assuming Madonna is public school as well? Need a way to explain away this beatdown to my southern friends? Lol

There’s some cities with multiple schools that can get kids go to certain “magnet” schools as long as they register to study at the “business school,” “culinary arts school,” “media arts school,” etc.

County Tech Schools are the easiest as they can get anyone from the county.

Some schools still do the old school way, getting “legit” home addresses for their kids.

And there’s the new way: become a charter school and you can get anyone.

HOPING TURN STEER THIS AWAY FROM THE 💩💩💩

This game was supposed to be part of the Zone 6 showcase in Hinchcliffe Stadium last night. But it was moved to noon today at Shabazz HS.

Great win for Cedar Grove HS to become 3-0 and remain one of the favorites in North Group 1.

This may answer a question or two for @kyk1827

Insane right!? I couldnt make it today but my buddy who coaches there texted me saying they won and i didnt believe him. Cant wait to watch the tape. Group 1 north has 3 solid teams in shabazz, weequhaic, cedar grove. Will be a very fun playoff.

Both are private/parochial.

NFHS is one of the bigger scams around, charging you a monthly fee for crappy coverage where there’s YouTube channels do a hell of a better job for free.
I agree. But some games arent on youtube so i have it. How wild is this? It was 0-0 until CG broke the scoreless tie with 5:45 left in the 3rd. Thats where im at right now. They scored all these points in the final 17 mins!?

Lotta scoring in the final 17 mins. Came down to special teams. Shabazz cant get a punt off. CG blocked one and then tipped one giving them the ball deep in shabazz territory.

Yeah that’s true. Luckily I didn’t need it that much to watch fire opponents between Hudl and most of the games on YouTube.

And how about Shabazz. They were crap for four years but they would be 3-0 if not for their total collapse vs Randolph and losing vs a great Cedar Grove program. I know about their transfers. Those are the rules today, plus some of the shenanigans I described a couple of posts above.

Most likely, the pools that the regional schools are drawing from down here in less-densely populated South Jersey don't contain any more kids than the geographically smaller pools that the North Jersey schools are drawing from in densely-populated North Jersey.

Plus, most schools are not "regional."

The "large area" you are referring to contains fewer people, and fewer high school athletes.

In my opinion, that's what dividing by size into groups is all about.

Maybe I am misunderstanding...

Shabazz relies too much on talent imo. Their main plays are inside zone, jet sweep, 4 verts basically. Grantee they have immensely more talent than any group 1 theyll face

It is Naz Oliver’s first year as HC and lots of new kids. Maybe they’ll get it together for the playoffs.
They have enough talent to ride talent alone to a group 1 ship. Heck they almost beat CG today off talent alone.

That’s impressive. I have never seen him play but saw Jabrill up and close and used to speak to him. He’s the best athlete I have ever seen at the high school level.

That depends on what games you watch...Shore Conference fan here and just last weeks games were worth monthly fee..I agree some games broadcasted are awful but most are pretty good in Shore Conference. You cant get Shore Conference teams on Youtube,,,maybe a couple

Oh ok...that makes a little better I guess...bc didn't travel out of Jersey and get beat by 40 by another states public school lol..it doesn't even sound right saying Bergen Catholic lost by 40..

Yeah idk, I didn't research it or anything really just coming up with reasons southern highschools have better sports teams. But tbh it's probably because they care more and put more energy/effort into youth sports.. less alternative activities as well but Jersey is far behind although I try and talk us up within other states..
Also regional schools in NJ usually have good teams, I believe cedar Creek in South Jersey is one, Rutgers has gotten some good players from atco township/cedar Creek .
