Please keep this updated. It's college football day, and probably will barely watch or keep up with baseball. Too deflating and boring.
Seems like every game the offense comes out and does nothing out of the gate. So often waiting to the middle innings to see if they will score or sometimes even get a hit. Would love to see one of those 3 or 4 run 1st innings for a change because I can't remember the last time it's happened.
Team seems to be in an offensive funk once again.
Team is either hot or cold at the plate. Unfortunately we re ice cold right now
Doesn’t help that Alonso/ Winker / JDM are like a combined 0 for 60.
Tonight will be a challenge once again to hit as Lindor is not himself / Torrens is catching and Bader is like 5 for his last 50.
Twice already with man on 2nd no outs - they can’t score.
Team hasn’t shown an iota of life since the game on Sunday at Citifield.

I remember when Yankee Steinbrenner disparingly referred to Dave Winfield as Mr May because of his inability to perform in the postseason. Well Alonso is either Mr. 8-0 or Mr Nationals. Take your pick. Comes thru in non-close game spots but rarely in chances to produce in close or late-game situations. Or when playing against the Nationals. And since he plays so well against the Nats maybe go play for them.

Elderly patients in hospice could do better than the Mets lineup tonight. Put a corpse in for Alonso for tomorrow.
Cannot wait until he’s gone. Put Mauricio at 3rd and move Vientos to 1st, Acuna to 2nd, and get a ton of pitching.
Some of the same people being critical tonight will be making posts complaining about others fans being negative or critical or whiny tomorrow.

Vientos struck out looking -looked at two strikes and fouled off one.
Mets game tonight was weird. Mets pitchers struck out 18 hitters in 8 innings. Normally if you can do that, you don't give up six runs.
Soooooo, if both AZ and Mets lose tomorrow, or both win tomorrow. Mets need to muster one win against Atlanta to be in, correct?
Assuming this result holds, yes.
