OT: 2024 NY Yankees Season Thread

Only fitting for this team to have the bases loaded with 1 out and get nothing. Dodgers came up big last night, Yanks come up empty.

Volpe, man….is anyone advising these guys how to approach a pitcher? Bailing out with a huge swing against Treinen ain’t it.
Totally agree…make the pitchers work…I think if Volpe takes that pitch it’s 3-2 hitters count. It was 2 feet outside

Judge = 0-4, 3Ks

Plays like a BUM in the playoffs. Hard to take him seriously as "captain" when he disappears as the spotlight is brightest.

Guys like Rizzo crowd the plate with these guys that almost exclusively throw breaking balls.
I've seen enough baseball in my life to know you have to make adjustments and some of the guys aren't changing their approach.
Certainly the Yankees have to sweep in NY.

This smells like a sweep. Yanks haven't shown a backbone to fight against adversity.

The lack of adjustments reflects poorly on not only the players but the entire coaching staff. Not to single out Volpe, but swinging out of your shoes on a ball in the other batter's box in a crucial movement signals something is very rotten with the Yankees.

About Rizzo, after costing the team a run (the game) on Friday by not backing up the throw on the Ohtani double, he was again late to back up an errant throw on another double in Saturday's game. There seems to be no accountability on this team.

Rizzo's body is broken.

Can't move anymore and in my opinion, is a liability both defensively and baserunning wise.

Not a Mets or Yankee fan…
Actually years ago you said you were a Mets fan. And posting boom on a Yankees thread was definitely a shot at the Yankees fans on here. No class by you! Which isn't a surprise lately.

Sorry Mets are not my team
Obviously the Yankees aren't your team. And at some point you liked the Mets enough to scrap my Yankees season thread after I posted it. And others agreed. Stupid post from you last night. There is no stars anymore but your constant posting of nonsense threads that nobody responds to has become disturbing.
Please tell me your reasoning to post "Boom" other than to piss off the Yankees fans on here??

Clarke Schmidt is the epitome of analytics.
A 3rd time around the batting order is disastrous.
let’s hope that 3rd time is after 5 innings or We are in trouble

Unfortunately he does the same thing in both team’s threads.
Likes to troll on both

These bums better show a backbone tonight and make it a series.
Mad Dog had a special guest on his MLB Network show today. Mike "Fatso" Francesa. Was actually a great listen. Both expect a Yankees win tonight. As do everyone on MLB Network.
It's funny the Mike and Dog hated each other at times during their 19 years but they seem to enjoy each other in small doses. They got each other laughing today. Mike was on point today. Not singing the Yankees praises.

Thanks for the heads up. Huge Mike and the Mad Dog fan.....best ever. I will look up the show.

Freddy Freeman in Yankee Stadium would be scary.
Yanks already sucking. It's like watching RU in the first quarter of a B1G game. Another weak K for Judge. Move him down the lineup?
