Three other players witnessed what was happening. Did they stop it?

Three Jayhawks are listed as witnesses to the alleged crime: Elmarko Jackson, Nick Timberlake and Johnny Furphy.

3 witnesses? What were they just standing around watching?

Dylan, come to Rutgers. Pike will take care of you. Hang with Ace and Gavin instead

Nick Timberlake was one of the coveted transfer portal guards out of Towson State, who was originally offered by RU this spring....he then got offers from UNC, Indiana, Kansas and everyone else on the planet.

The KC star news website had the article Monday AM and the player accused of the rape/assault, had a prior issue before or during his time at Texas this past season. He is also a transfer portal addition at Kansas a few months ago. Some of the Texas message board people aren't exactly shocked at the Morris kid being in trouble again.

It has to be pretty bad, if this actually hit the news, because schools like Kansas bury anything and everything that's potentially bad news.

I am not the "see what happens at Kansas, don't go there etc", but when you have NIL advisors trying to squeeze every dollar out of today, you can pick the wrong school. I can't see Dylan Harper picking Kansas, but if he actually does after this allegation, then you may have your answers to a lot of other unknown questions.

But it should certainly be taken into consideration.

I agree 100%......my concern is if you still visit AFTER this type of conduct within the Kansas program, then I would start to question what Dylan Harper is all about. Some kids are talented through the roof, but can you steer away from the wrong crowd?? Especially if it's staring you right in the face.

Witness can mean a number of things.

For example, Elmarko Jackson, Nick Timberlake and Johnny Furphy may not have witnessed the actual crime but may have seen Morris and the woman together and thus have important information about the crime or the defendant. Or they may have seen the woman after the crime.

Either of those examples would make them witnesses.

"A source with knowledge of the situation said the men’s basketball players listed as witnesses or “other” on the incident report were interviewed after the fact and “not involved in the incident at all. They are not under investigation or anything like that remotely.” Two additional witnesses who are not men’s basketball players are also listed. A witness listing does not necessarily mean that person was present when an alleged crime was committed.

Care to elaborate on the "prior issue"?

Nice family. I believe his sister Alexis Morris spent a very short stint at Rutgers. Started her career with Baylor. Was arrested frosh season for assaulting her her friend, drug possession, Mulkey kicked her off the team. Went to Rutgers where she was a problem, kicked off team. went to Texas A&M didn't do well where superstar Rutgers legend Chelsea Newton is Coach, kicked off team. Ex Baylor coach Mulkey landed at LSU, and took Alexis back. Had a great game after her all-star game in finals. Got drafted by CT, and was cut after one game.
End of story for now, she is playing in Turkey.
Unreal.

Schools don't issue press releases when players or coaches are arrested but they respond to media requests for comment.

Since the internet actually exists, anyone who has the time to search for the iinformation can find a police report online.

In fact I know a reporter who does an inmate search every Sunday morning on the Alachua County Sheriff's Office Department website looking to see if any UF players were arrested over the weekend.

Bill Self defended taking Morris via transfer, because he claimed he spent enough time recruiting him out of HS.....then the assault surfaced, Texas held onto Morris because they kinda knew Kansas and Bill Self was going to scoop him up.....and then they played him off the bench for pretty much the whole season.

So the kid hits the transfer portal and Kansas had another 5* HS kid committed (Marcus Adams).....Kansas attacks the portal and took Morris and Timberlake and then expected their top HS recruits to stick around.

One of the Top Kansas 2022 kids immediately hit the portal once they started chasing Michigan's big man Hunter Dickinson.

Kansas is involved in the old Woody Hayes/Ohio State mentality....just gobble up as many Top players not because he actually cares about them or has playing time for them, he just doesn't want those players at competitive or other league schools, to compete against.

Well, I was on vacation last month and had a good conversation with a long time Gator supporter, who explained the "chain of command", with the District attorney and someone called a "Gator master" or some crazy nickname.....nothing goes into a police report in Gainesville, until its reviewed by this Top attorney (supposedly).....good luck to your reporter waiting for the police report in Gainesville, he's probably not very busy.....LMAO

If money was the only factor Kansas should win. I wonder if Dylan's camp is just using Kansas as leverage to try to see how much they can get from RU

They definitely have an attorney standing by in Gainesville to represent the players. If UF police or Gainesville PD makes an arrest they may be able to suppress info but if the Alachua County Sheriff's Office makes the arrest they won't be as successful. Which is why the reporter checks their website...LMAO

What do you mean all about ? He’s probably all about what every kid in his situation all about - get to the NBA

And here we have our star WR getting arrested and suspended wrongly in carroo . Then we have Melton getting in trouble for some stupid paintball thing.
Neither should have happened

Really need to change the wording on this then to be more clear of what they mean by 'witness'.....one way to look at 'witness' is basically nothing where they just saw them both hanging out together and laughing while sharing a burger. The other side of 'witness' essentially looks like they were standing their rooting on and enabling their friend raping someone which would make these guys in very big trouble.

I was wondering if there was a relationship here. wow. you're not kidding.

Any prior experience working for the Newark Star Ledger?

I agree.

According to a source, Arterio Morris is gonna be gone from KU.

Bill Self took a big chance taking Morris, given he already had an assault case pending.

Still pissed about how those situations were handled. They really fracked up Carroo's season and put a lot of stress on him too.

I believe the second example would be called "accessory" and not witness .

With what has happened with he and his sister, it's hard to imagine they come from a great family.

It doesn't end there.. Unfortunately their older sister Aerius has a significant history of multiple criminal arrests also.... Sad.
