I live in erie, Pa now and I'm considering going to an Indians game this week with the Yankees coming to town.
Anyone have knowledge of their stadium and area? Easy parking? Any better views for different sectionsinside the ballpark?
Any Yankees fans in the area going to the game?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I went to Jacobs Field 2 years ago. It's a nice park. I don't think there's a bad sight line anywhere. We sat in the lower first level close to home plate for like $40 a ticket for an afternoon game vs Detroit. There are plenty of parking lots near the stadium but traffic was gridlocked. Instead of trying to get closer we found a lot about 5 blocks away. Can't remember the price but I'm sure it was $20 or less.

There was a sausage place on the third base side that had some ridiculous toppings. Add a summer shandy and it's a good stadium meal.

if you don't want to mess with driving all the way in, use the Rapid train (RTA), its $5 per person round trip, takes you to Terminal Tower. a short walk to the Stadium and Casino... This is what I do every time.

Before the game, check out Wilberts, its about a block from the stadium. $2 16oz domestics and $3 bomb shots

There are plenty of lots, but there's some closed exits and stuff down town so it could get confusing.

As far as the stadium, most seats are fine. I sat in the bleachers this year it's pretty good.
Also, you can leave the game and come back, so we run to Wilberts and drink a quick beer on the cheap.

While there, if beer is your thing, try a Great Lakes Brewing Co. brew. Top notch stuff. $12 in the stadium, or its a stop or two on the red line rapid train heading west.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier OP.

I completely agree with taking the train to the game but it is a little out of your way to drive over to pick it up on Green. You will most likely just drive downtown, pay the parking fee and move on. If you haven't purchased tickets yet, I would suggest the third base line about 10-15 rows up. The one issue i have with the field is that if you get front row seats past third base, you will be turned the entire game. They did not build the park correctly and angle them in like somewhere like Busch. Club seats are also fantastic because they have regular ballpark fare as well as carving stations and theme specific "bars" (pasta, nachos, etc).

I have not been this year but I heard the craft beer wall out in left (or right, don't remember) is pretty sweet.

Where do you live in Erie? My wife is from there (my FIL is still there) and I am from 70 miles from there. My best friend lives in Corry and he is the guy I go to all PSU games with.
