OT: Disgraced documentary

Yes! It was fantastic. Anyone that hasn't seen it, definitely should try and watch it if you can. Riveting stuff. It's on Showtime.

Awful story. But does the author really need to once again deal the race card from the bottom of the deck? And speaking of surreptitious recordings, you think anyone hires Eric Murdock? Just the facts of life. You tape your boss and you are never looked at the same again.

Murdock didn't tape anyone. The only surreptitious recordings made during the Mike Rice saga were made by David Cox of Murdock, I believe. Vague recollection that Martelli may have taped Murdock too but dont think so. Murdock's lawyers asked for practice tapes that everyone knew were being made and then used them shake down Rice and Rutgers.

If I was that guy I would have taped him too. Remember, he stood up to Bliss initially and said it wasn't right to do; only to come into work to be passive aggressively threatened with firing if he didn't change his tune. And what was he asked to do? Only have people lie to police, school officials and the NCAA in regards to a MURDER. Besides protecting himself, he had the proper evidence to rid the NCAA of Bliss. Had he not taped his boss, Bliss would probably never been caught and still been out there ruining young men's lives. Without the tapes it would have been a case of he said/she said.

I don't disagree that he had good reason to tape. But sorry human nature is that your next boss is going to have serious second thoughts about u. Unfair but simple truth.

I thought Murdock made the video. Sorry if I was wrong. But similarly sue your boss and see who wants to hire you

Yes they looked through hundreds of hours of tapes and put together a 3 minute snuff film.

Who cares? Not many.
Worry about the results on the court and field at Rutgers .

Bliss still is "out there ruining young men's lives.": Southwestern Christian University has had that POS as its head men's basketball coach for the past couple of years.

They fired him a couple of days after this documentary aired

And they are a NAIA school not NCAA. The NCAA gave him a 10 year show cause penalty which essentially was death penalty on his career in the NCAA. SWC could hire him without any issues other than the fact he is a POS of a human being.

To me, that the case because all of these guys are doing dirty work behind the scenes. If you follow the rules and have noting to worry about you welcome someone who has the integrity and temerity to do that. But the reality is every program (including RU) has something it wants to hide and so all these guys just want to protect their ass. The railroading of this guy says more about the lack of integrity in the HC's out there than it does about him as an individual. And let me ask you this. I work at a bank. If I know my boss is committing fraud, should I not get the evidence and report it to my compliance/ethic line. Does that make me not worth hiring in the future? Because by the logic of your "human nature" statement there should be no whistle blowers. If your next boss is someone with ethics and integrity they should have no second thoughts.

I caught a little bit of it last night. If I remember correctly, Jim Boeheim said it was wrong for the assistant coach to tape Bliss. Is he an asshole? He wasn't taping him to get him in trouble for some bs. He was taping him for trying to cover up a.murder.

Of course you should be hired. But I'd bet most "whistleblowers" find that next job very hard to get. I'm not endorsing that troubled state just observing it.

But yet they continue to win part deaux. They are a Baptist institution. Just as God gives Trump a free pass for his indiscretions he/ she has given Baylor a waiver as well. ;:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Saw it last night. Unreal. Keep in mind that Bliss is a changed man now... he found Jesus.... (sarcasm set to 11).

I honestly question whether Dotson really did it (and that was probably part of the angle they were presenting). The cousin, Larry Johnson, really seems to have skated.
