Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, Carly Simon, Eurythmics, Eminem, Dolly Parton and Lionel Richie are being enshrined in the performer category. Heavy metal innovators Judas Priest will enter via the Hall's Musical Excellence Award, alongside songwriting and production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Because nobody recognizes them anymore. They are now Raging for the Machine. 🤣
Mediocre talent, in hindsight. Four albums in a span of 8 years 1992-2000, the last two being fairly lame.

For that matter, why not Limp Bizkit? 40 million records sold. The only difference between the two bands is RATM used to rage at the government, and Limp Bizkit rages at parents.

Or more seriously, why not Korn? Active since 1990, 14 albums, 40 million records sold (compared to RATM's 16 million).

Or the Deftones? Much more talented and melodic. 9 albums

Or Marilyn Manson. 50 million records sold. 11 albums.

Or Slipknot. 30 million records sold.

RFTM can sit down and shut up.

Can they PLEASE change the name of this place? Country/Rap/Hip-hop artists are NOT "Rock" artists. I mean for crying out loud there already IS a "Country Music HOF." You don't see Rush, Run DMC or Duran Duran getting put in there lol!!

Slipknot should be in immediately. Marilyn Manson right behind them. Korn real good. Deftones are good but weren't great. A girl I dated was good friends with them.

DJ- WOW thank you...Never really followed her before but your post made me listen more- we all know "Lovin' You"
But I just spent 45 mins listening to her songs and this is what I have to say...She is powerful

RATM is Limp Bizkit's daddy. Without them, LB wouldn't have had a career. Slipknot should def be in. I'm torn on Korn.

I rather enjoy Tom Morello's show on XM. His mom makes regular appearances and is fantastic.
