OT: How Often Do You Check The Rutgers Rivals Board?

I've been active for close to 15 years (this June).

Used to check the board for hours at a time.....especially around LOI / B-ball signing time.

What with Schiano being courted by MI / Miami and ultimately leaving; the false rumors about RU going to the B1G / then coming TRUE; the Waters to Hill, to Rice to ????? parade; Tim Pernetii's fall from grace / the shameful way RU administration left him out to dry; the Big Chill (de-commits under Flood);
Imus' attack on our women's team / final four; Rice video going viral; Julie Hermann hire / departrure....

And marital status change almost 4 years ago, I still check in here FIRST. No Facebook or Instagram , an occasional Tweet .....but Rivals message boards (Football, basketball, the Forum/ CE) provides me with an almost endless amount of entertainment. I check in at least 3-5 times a day....sometimes more (up from once / day when I was dating again- in 2012).

First, thanks to Mods for providing a forum that interesting and keeps me connected...even though I've only been back to the Banks once in 47 years (last year). I still feel part of the community.

Second, how often do you frequent Rivals?

For leisure viewing I look at this RU Rivals free site and the Scout Premium site at least a few times an hour throughout the day. I'm in sales , my company provides me with an IPad and Iphone with the connection data signal included, so they make it very easy . It's cheap entertainment, not to mention information for the avid RU fan.

Depends on what time of the year it is. During off season, once or twice per day. July through February, way too often.

Depends on the time of year and also whether a thread catches my interest of not. This is actually my favorite site on the internet - as much for the Rutgers talk as for the OT talk. Today I must have checked over a hundred times because of Duke Lax and also the color coordinated Wedding caught my fancy.

Depends how busy I am at work. Crazy busy (1/3 of the time) means I just don't have time to check at all until the end of the day for a few minutes or after I get home. Not quite crazy busy (1/3 of the time) means I probably check for 5-10 min 2-3 times a day during work, then at home I often have the site up in the background and check/post once in awhile. Just plain busy (1/3 of the time) means I'll check in a few times a day and probably have 2-3 longer check-ins of 15-20 minutes each, involving some posting.

Obviously, I check/post more before and during a snowstorm or sometimes just before a football game if the weather is iffy and there's late breaking info. My busiest time is on those occasions where I'm watching an away football game at home, by myself (not very often, since I go to 1-2 away games a year and I go to bars to watch some away games) and posting. I also tend to post far more after a win than a loss - I love celebrating and I hate commiserating. Overall, though, I read/post a fair amount less than I used to, but I still enjoy the site a lot. I mostly post on the football board and hoops board (although that's gone way down with the misery there), with occasional posts on the RT and CE boards; rarely post on the other boards and never on the Rivals main board.

At the very least, I read through everything while I'm eating my lunch at work Mon-Fri.

Same here, "too often" . Got worst when I lost me company in 2008. Living on it from 2008-now. Going through rehab, to limit my time to evening only, and hopfully will have my new company up and running by the end of the month. Notice I did not say 1 April - been no joke these last 8 years.
