Good call, lots of good beer and solid food there. Half of it has intimate seating, the other half is the bar. Cool decorations too, with the microbrewery there.

Haven't been to too many places in Woodbridge, but J.J. Bittings was a pretty cool spot, and its different. Not a typical chain type place.

Ill Costello and La Trattoria Venezia on Main Street in Woodbridge are very good. Lou Cas in Edison.

Ill Costellos was a great steakhouse before. Anyone recall the name? Watch the bill if you go. Very nice place but they can trick you.

Lavaletta's. It had old, grungy decor.

I bartended/managed Poor Billy's in the 90's. The owners of both Main Street restaurants were regulars. Those Albanians know Italian food.

If you want good Italian food in Woodbridge that is home style, go to Dominick's in Avenel on Avenel Street.


I loved the Loop. It made La Mirage look like a dump. Used to go to Breathless, Bourbon Street, Delilah's and finish off the night there.

I went to Mullberry Street on Rahway Avenue for the first time last month. Very good food, casual atmosphere. Check it out. $$$$
