Great documentary on the East Mississippi Community College (JuCo) team's 2015 season and what these kids go through. I don't want to give away what happens (they made bad headlines this year a few times), but they went into the season as National Champions in 2011 2013 and 2014 and riding a 24 game winning streak.

Shows you the different types of players at these schools and how much academics is a struggle to some of them.

It's like a hard knocks meets friday night lights.

I binged watched it pretty hard....

Good show... Watching it as we speak... Tough to judge coming from a middle class white family from Morris county, NJ but it's amazing the lack of education / guidance in some of these kids lives

I always thought that the Jayhawk conference of JUCOs in Kansas was where all the ringers go, but it seems this documentary says there are more prospects in the Mississippi JUCO system

I just finished the 2nd episode and one thing that struck me (very minor spoiler alert here) was the head coach was driving the bus to an away game.

EDIT: I was mistaken - see my post below.

Really? that seems weird. He definitely isn't driving it in other episodes.

They get decent $ and support at that school for the football program.

My mistake. The HC is sitting directly behind the driver. It looked like he was driving.

Just finished the show.. Thought it was really good. Would definitely recommend it. Didn't really know anything about JUCO before watching it.

Just finished the 2nd episode. Awesome inside look at JUCO in the deep south. Thanks for recommending OP or I would have never looked it up.

Agreed; saw the show recommended here and watched it all over the past few days. Really interesting stuff; some of the names seemed vaguely familiar (wouldn't be surprised if they got mentioned here over the past few years when the kids were in HS) and it just reconfirmed to me what decent chunks of the recruiting process must be like, as well as the mixed mindset (insightful yet irrational) of many adolescents.
