If, and only if , ACC programs leave I see NC as an auto entry in the B1G because they are a name brand in Basketball which would improve how the BIG is viewed nationally basketball wise and it would be between FSU and Miami that the B1G looks at to bring in the Florida market.
Clemson ,I don't see the B1G drooling over the possibility of them joining.
Absent of Notre Dame, UNC has been reported as the first choice
Both FSU and Miami would be great fits for the Big Ten, FSU for both the SEC and Big Ten in Miami just for the Big Ten

None of these schools, with the exception of Notre Dame, are good fits for either the Big Ten or the SEC. They simply don't have the ratings that are going to generate the necessary revenue.

Not only from a which school is a good fit for the Big Ten or SEC standpoint (all the schools mentioned above are good fits for either one or both of the conferences) but from a ratings standpoint, FSU is near the top most years
Again, and I say this with all due respect, neither of those two points are remotely debatable
I don't know about the SEC with the Gamecocks in it, I look at Clemson stuck in the ACC or joining Big 12
What they would bring to the table where the SEC is concerned is questionable in my mind and as for the B1G > SMU might be a better option .
I can't say it would be because I don't know to much about those programs, just think SMU's booster support is exceptional and would do what it takes, financially, to make SMU a B1G member and the B1G would like to have a program in Texas for the B1G Network and the fertile recruiting ground the state has.
Notre Dame would join the B1G is all other options fail in it's effort to have it's football program remain independent .
SMU’s booster support is next level, they’re not making any money from the ACC contract for like seven years, and one of their boosters quoted to saying he’s not gonna lose sleep over dropping $100 million into the booster or NIL bucket
I would assume the Big Ten tell Notre Dame that they need to join for all sports, football included
Per 95 and a couple of the other knowledge posters indicated, Clemson would be SEC bound, weather Carolina like it or not (similar to but on a smaller level than Texas getting admitted whether A&M liked it or not)
I think the problem came in recently when the SEC and Big10 started talking.
Initially you were hearing rumors that if FSU and Clemson could get out, that opens the doors for others like UNC and Miami and that might result in ND having to look for another solution if the ACC fell apart.
Then all of a sudden, those rumors went dead.... Then right after, you hear that Big10 and SEC are chatting it up.
I believe the Big Ten just said, why rush this.... if at all... nothing assures that these ACC teams will be available. By doing a scheduling alliance, they pretty much add another 4-6 premium games per year... vs adding lets say UNC and a FL team -- making sure that they bring enough value to increase the pie.
Why not just the 10th game between the 2 conferences as an OOC... 4-6 premium games plus another 10 that people from both conferences will watch just to see the who wins.
At this point, if the B10 and SEC still want an ACC team........ they don't mind waiting until 2036. And without the Sure Thing in the P2, i don't think any ACC team will be paying to get out early.

If you’re the SEC or the Big Ten, there is no rush
You have your teams, you have your contracts, you have your format.
Money is coming in, and you know that there are multiple teams in the ACC that, when they’re able to get out of the grant of rights, would love to be in both of your conferences.
Moreover, it would be highly illlogical, and likely illegal, to publicly comment at any school still currently in the ACC, as there would be no advantage to doing that, and could result in a needless tampering charge

There's not any compelling reason for them to want an ACC team though the only reason to add any new schools is to get more revenue for the conference, and honestly none of these ACC schools have the ratings that would really bring more Revenue to either conference.
FUS's not at the top at most years. Have have you looked at the actual ratings? I mean the actual numbers year by year?
