As for Escobar- I’m not as ready as many to write him off. I think he is very capable of .250+ and 25 HR.
I would be giving him first shot at DH

This is fine also!!As for Escobar- I’m not as ready as many to write him off. I think he is very capable of .250+ and 25 HR.

All these winter moves and no top prospects were lost.. . .
Yeah, if he hits, he'll get at bats. DH, and Correa has a history of playing much less than 162 games. As for Escobar- I’m not as ready as many to write him off. I think he is very capable of .250+ and 25 HR.

Cohen = George from the 80s (spending a ton of money, but not building a winning team)For those Mets fans that said the Yankees bought all their World Series wins you must realize today how stupid that saying is now!! You wake up today realizing that having an owner that wants to win and willing to spend is the greatest thing as a fan. Today is the day you don't give a rats ass how much they are spending or care if people use that lame excuse you thought was cool. Enjoy your freedom. You will never hear me complain about how much the Mets spend, unlike the clown on this thread that still brings it up, as it's good for the game.
Nope. Neither Verlander nor Correa were eligible to receive the QO.Are the Mets losing draft picks for any of their signings this off-season?
Correct. Our 1st round pick did drop 10 spots because we went $40 mil over the CBT. Not a huge deal when you're going from 22 to 32 though.Nope. Neither Verlander nor Correa were eligible to receive the QO.
Maybe for Carlos, but not for any other moves I believe.True, the Mets still have their top prospects. But this move suggests that they aren't overwhelmed by Baty or Vientos. in the least, their defense hurts them. Baty's defense at 3B hasn't been good. And it's not as if he's a young prospect. He's 23. Vientos is another guy who was at 3B but seemingly isn't anymore because of his defense. He's also 23. Given the Mets roster, they now have more time to try to develop their defensive skills (at what position, not clear) and still work on their O. I'm sure there will be options to call them up, but if they are no longer third-baseman, and with Escobar on the Mets roster to back-up Correa, it would likely be to play somewhere else. They both will likely be major leaguers, but it's not so clear whether they'd be big production guys.
The prospects that might have the biggest impact for the Mets are likely those behind Baty and Vientos, and those still to be added to the organization.

DH works for me too. DFA Ruf next pleaseAs for Escobar- I’m not as ready as many to write him off. I think he is very capable of .250+ and 25 HR.

That fan's response:I'll take a page out of someone else's Book Of Bull$hit and just tweak it a bit. I don't know a single Mets Fan that ever complained about the Yankees over spending to buy Championships.😭 Today on WFAN a confessed Yankees Fan actually said for this signing to happen in the middle of the night was exactly like votes changing during recent elections. He went on to say Uncle Stevie pulled a illegal move. He then went on to say how stupid to sign a high end SS only to move him to 3B, wait, what? Hello AROD, lmfao
Weren’t the Yanks looking to sign him previously?Wow, $300m+ for a .280, 20HR, 70 RBI guy with a dubious medical record. This is not going to end well.
I would but it to wear to Met games if SF is in town lolMLB Hot Stove showed a screenshot of Carlos Correa's jersey from the SF Giants website. It was to go on sale for $60 bucks, but now it will cost you only $3.15 for that same jersey.
Correa? I don't think so. We passed on all high-priced FA SS due to our farm system.Weren’t the Yanks looking to sign him previously?
But yes, the injury concerns could be a problem.
I wasn’t sure but thought I heard he was a target.Correa? I don't think so. We passed on all high-priced FA SS due to our farm system.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Speaking of bullshit. You constantly bring up the Yankees payroll. Including during playoffs where you actually thought Cleveland Guardians entire 2022 payroll was just $29 million!! 🤣🤣🤣I'll take a page out of someone else's Book Of Bull$hit and just tweak it a bit. SF must have really been scared away by the results of the physical.Did Boras come back to Cohen with his tail between his legs? On MLB Hot Stove, Joel Sheman (NY Post) read a quote from Boras. Cohen was in Hawaii having dinner and had a phone call with Boras. Boras asked Cohen if he had a Martini with three olives for a grade 3B. Sheman thought Boras was asking Cohen for $3 billion. What Boras was asking was there room for Correa at 3B.
Also, one of the host for Hot Stove think the Mets should move McNeil to 3B so Lindor can feel comfortable with Correa. I thought Lindor and McNeil became a great combo once they played enough together to understand each other. Plus, McNeil is more athletic than people give him credit.
Based on some of the reporting, SF got cold feet. Some of it has to do with their current SS having minor issues with his move to 3B for Correa, and SF doesn't want to tie up that much money with one player over 13 years. The result of the physical is an excuse to save face.SF must have really been scared away by the results of the physical.
Smart move by SF. 13 years for a light hitting 28 year old is nuts.Based on some of the reporting, SF got cold feet. What did I make up? Better yet, I'll just enjoy this huge move so why don't you just STFU and go to The Dead Zone and complain about, Cashman, Stanton,Donaldson, Hicks and - - - - -🤣🤣🤣🤣 Speaking of bullshit. You constantly bring up the Yankees payroll. Including during playoffs where you actually thought Cleveland Guardians entire 2022 payroll was just $29 million!! 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe you should just enjoy the Mets spending and stop making up stuff.
It's heartwarming to see your concern. This is your 6th post since the news broke, lmfao.SF must have really been scared away by the results of the physical.
Yes, I heard the delay was not actually medical but executive. But that they still wanted to move forward but went dark on Boras for 12 hours and Boras opened up the market again but when the other teams went to bed last night, Cohen was in Hawaii and stayed in contact late night and made the deal.Based on some of the reporting, SF got cold feet. That you never brought up the Yankees salaries in the past. I know its hard to remember, because you lie so much you forget what is real and what is made up. I would go with 99% as made up.What did I make up?
Cry me a river, I'm loving this. That you never brought up the Yankees salaries in the past. I know its hard to remember, because you lieso much you forget what is real and what is made up. I would go with 99% as made up.
