OT: New York Yankees 2022-2023 Off Season Thread

I'll make a deal. You admit you lied about Judge being a Yankee fan just to stir the pot. Also admit that it isnt the first time I brought up Judge growing up a Giants fan because we all know you always read all of the Yankees posts. You are on this thread more then the Mets thread. So start with my May post by me where I first brought up the subject about SF and the post below. Mets getting things wrong over and over again.

Hall of Famer

Future cases and past cases will be resolved before a full spring training. This is different as we are already at 1/3 of the season played trying to figure out this years salary. Plus it's Judge who seems he knows his free agent value. Why would you want to piss off the face of your franchise? You saw what happened to Freeman. Got to free agency and went back home. Judge grew up in the shadow of San Fran as was a big fan of the Giants growing up. And San Fran has tons of money to spend next year

Love proving you wrong again and again!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Last time I will respond- I did not lie. I believe I had heard it on the fan but did not post as a fact. Point 2- not sure if you did or did not post he was a SF fan- if you did, all good. But you pretty much quoted the article that was posted days after my post.
I’ll give you credit for knowing he is a SF fan. But my post was as far from a troll as there could be.
I don’t think you will find any post of mine that does not say he is far better off a Yankee for life.
If you cannot accept this, then it is on you. Be well

Dude you and I used to talk baseball all the time. Then you went off the deep end with me. Influenced by you know who. Have no idea where you got he was a Yankee fan growing up and it wasn't WFAN since the end of the season as they are spot on about him growing up a Giants/Bond's fan. You must be the last guy to know. I posted several times he corrected reporters about the Home Run record that Bonds holds it.
How can you not know I posted that info before? I just posted one. Go look at it. The date and post # is included. It's a locked thread. No editing.
I posted that article today because of the already known issue he was a SF fan growing up but what what was new was the 10 year prediction by him. Which his wife reminded him of. I'm tired of the BS.

This is a big example of why the Stanton contract hurts the Yanks. If he wasn't there, I would guarantee he'd already be a Yankee.

Have said that from day one, while sitting in the parking lot for the Army Navy game. Got killed for it on here that morning. I would have loved that trade if it didn't contain a no trade clause. Jeter fleeced Cashman. Pay back is a bitch.

You were definitely right on that one. It's less that Stanton sucks as he's still producing a bit, but it's more the payroll from the tightwad owners.

And why a 9 year 360 judge contract will hurt the team in the years to come.

Let judge go, please.

Also he has missed way more games then Judge has. His Yankees year by year games played.

I want Judge back, but I won't be heartbroken if he leaves, especial if SF goes to 9 or 10 years. Judge is 31, injury prone, and a poor post-season player.

They could add a lot of depth with the 36-40 million a year that Judge would eat up in salary. Rebuild a dominant bullpen, sign Rodon or a big time SS. Trade a SS prospect or Torres. Sounds pretty interesting to me.

As for Judge they are also expecting a signed contract today. Unknown team but 2 big players off the market tonight

Read what I said "I thought I also heard that though he grew up in SF, he was a Yankee fan." - I want to say it may have been on the FAN but not sure - So- for those challenged, I said that "I thought I also heard" - I did not say it was fact.
And so far from trolling...It was in conversation with nothing negative, actually, it was Yankee positive.
There are times, and I am not going to say it is you- that some people are blinded by ignorance. Take it how you want to.

My post had nothing to do with trolling and I actually compliment that you did not do your usual trolling after deGrom went to the Rangers- but if you want to see real trolling, rather than a positive post, you may want to check out your Yankee brothers...
Some people can be rwal idiots.
There's been so much misinformation, I myself have heard both, Judge grew up a Yankees fan and I also heard he grew up a Giants fan. Even today a major report by MLB said the Judge signing happened already only to be retracted by the Giants GM saying we haven't heard anything from Judge. yesrutgers01, some people just break their arm patting themselves on the back, lol.😁

The biggest Mets turd has arrived
Better a turd than a scumbag, there's always that. Didn't take you very long, would you like my cell#? PS. As big a Yankees fan as you are, calling the front office to complain about Cashman, Boone and Stanton, and their all here with 2 of them getting extensions, lmfao

Funny that the 2 Mets fans are the only clowns that believed that Judge was a Yankees fan and the Cleveland Indians had a $29 million payroll. 🙄 Stupid you folks!!!

Dude you are beyond a scumbag and a troll. Thanks for the invite to have fun on the Mets thread. I've been quiet on all of this. Game on!

Amazing come back. Just spent my usual 4 hours babysitting my granddaughter and grandson and my conversations with them blow away the ignorance you spit out.

Your welcome, invite, lololool yeah, if that's what you needed. I'm sure it's the only backhanded invite you'll get during the holiday season, enjoy.

Dump Hicks and Donaldson. Happy to dump Torres as well. Get back to 90s baseball.
Def should dump hicks & Donaldson. I’d hold Torres for now he’s still young. Carpenter came back to earth in the playoffs has a nice porch swing but might have just caught lightning in a bottle before injury. Saw kiner falefa resigned.
Haven’t heard anything abt benintendi hope he’s on the radar

He has Cano written all over him. The 2nd half of a long contract with Judge will be a killer. Big, muscular guys don't age well in baseball.
the big question is really the next 4-6 years- can he lead the Yankees to 2-3 WS wins?
If he can, the backend of the contract isn't a big deal- I would hope that the Yanks can fill in players around him that will be developing by then.

So thanks for admitting your grandkids are smarter then you. No surprise.

If you have grandchildren- I really hope they are smarter than you. I am sure my granddaughter will be much smarter than me. Funny, that you think that is a bad thing.
If you have grandchildren- wouldn’t you want them to be smarter?

Kidding yourself if you think they will be able to a lot of quality depth at the values they are signing at. Will get one top tier and a low level at best for same AAV.

it is weird- last year, it seemed you could sign almost anyone for a low price for a short contract. But, this year- the big $$$ are in play again.

Yankees match SF offer. Captain Judge coming back to the Bronx!
That's a lot of money, probably way too much for too long, but you can't complain about Judge returning.

Still, we have a lot of areas to improve to get us WS ready. Time to dump Hicks and Donaldson.

Agree they can't just celebrate this signing and close up shop. However, I'm taking this signing as a sign that the Steinbrenners maybe opening their wallets.
I'm not worried by the back end money. 9 years from now $40million a year won't be close to the top salary.

Players like Judge are very uncommon... he is a franchise player that you don't let get away. 9 years is probably a bit more than I'd like to give, but you have to do it to get a player like him. Congrats to Judge and the Yankees!

Hopefully, he ages as well as Windfield did with over 100 rbi when he was 41.
But Yanks had to make this deal. And hopefully, in year 4-5, it starts to look like a bargain when players are starting to break 50 mil per
