What does this mean? I guess specifically with is the injury and what was worst case scenario? How long will Hughes be out for?
Very cryptic message which is frustrating but I guess as a Devils fan seems to be good news.
No official word yet, hopefully tonight. I took it as no severe concussion or broken clavicle/neck. Of course it still could be worse than a few games, with that.
Broken neck. Yikes. Never even considered that. I was thinking more like separated shoulder / broken collarbone etc. that hopefully did not occur.

If he had broken his collarbone or neck, I don’t he would never have been able to go out for the next shift like he did. So I was never really worried about that.

there roster, even without Jack and nico, is night and day better than Blackhawks. They need to play 3 full periods, they need solid goaltending, and they should win easily. Not sure how anyone who calls themselves a hockey could disagree here…

I do laugh at some of his devils takes and will make it known when I disagree.
Sometimes we do things just because it works as a good luck charm, unlike in the past, now we all want the Devils to win.
Hopefully there are no broken bones, but there are ways to break ( or fracture bones including the neck ) and not realize it at first. Unlikely but possible. In something like Wrestling it has happened multiple times. It doesn't necessarily kill or completely incapacitate a person.

After the start reminded me of the Mad Season song title "Lifeless Dead" what a nice gutty win.
Depth scoring and better goaltending than I have seen from Vanecek, has led me to consider that the injuries might just be a blessing in disguise. To maximize the season you need a whole team effort, and at times the Devils get sidetracked watching what Jack and Nico do.

What’s your opinion of how long Hughes is out for ? These vague cryptic communications by the Devils are quite frustrating.

I agree! I think we don't see him til after the New Year. I know why, but this upper body, lower body stuff, leaves fans in the dark.
