    Maybe the best choice they've picked in a while. Young team, X's and O's coach with a straight forward approach, no head games, not big on the dog house.

    He wins games. Had a good run with Chicago and they have been a mess since he left and won 47 one year at Minnesota when they haven't done anything in recent years. Not sure why another poster said this was a good hire in 2010, since he has won games since that year.

    This is a great stabilizing hire.
    He's been under. 500 twice in 8 years as HC.
    1st year in Minny (31-51) and the 3rd year in Minny when he was fired after 40 games (19-21).

    A guiding principle when reading threads:
    College basketball fans (especially on this board) generally have bad to outright terrible insight into NBA topics

    Shoulda hired Bulls assistant and still the Shore's alltime leading scorer Chris Fleming. Great guy. He got an interview for the job too.

    Knicks bring Tom Thibodeau back to New York as new coach


    MANHATTAN — Tom Thibodeau is back in New York as the Knicks’ new coach.

    The former NBA Coach of the Year was hired Thursday, returning to the team he helped lead to the NBA Finals as an assistant coach.

    Thibodeau, 62, is 352-246 in eight seasons coaching Chicago and Minnesota.
