Can't relax for the game deGrom pitches and the Mets offense puts up at most 1 run for him.
my take is we get the first win and no matter what, we come out of the series still in first. and I would find it hard to believe with Max/deGrom/Walker in 3 of the last 4- that we don't get at least one of them.
We're playing directly against at home so 3-2 is fine by me. Don't care which of the 5 we get as long as it is a minimum 3.
getting the first one just relaxes us as fans that much more though...I want number one and then know that 3 of the next 4 we have our top 3 starters going
Looks like Buck is going with matchups, lefty righty platoon at least while Escobar isn’t hitting, especially from the left side.
Actually Joel Sherman messed me up again. JD played last night also, so wasn’t his first Giants AB.
Well he is also gonna see more regular playing time than Ruf who will only be used against LHP basically.
Fair enough, I will modify it to say he will hit more home runs against left handed pitching than Ruf.

sure I am missing someone. Needless to say GM made the right moves. Even letting players like Baez go
Canha - and by far out of those players above- Marte is the HR
And the entire mix seems like a "team" and not the mess of individuals we have had for years
Knew I forget someone. It’s fun watching the team…..have fun. To me it is as simple as that. Players know their roles. Lindor gets on. Some want the SB. Wright has only given up 2. Pete and Vogelbach behind you. Stay on first you will be brought home!
If Vogelbach and hopefully Ruff can do their platoon thing- then Pete may have some major protection behind him...their righty/left splits this year have them at 23 HR and plus 900 ops.
You can see how Vogelbach has been energized by being on a,winning team and in a pennant race.
