Before you jump me, McCan't is poisonous. He can't hit and now can't call a game. Every pitch he calls is a fastball. 😁

Aren't the pitches called from the bench into the pitcher and catcher's earpiece? That being said, when I pitched I always called my own game. Catcher would call a pitcher. If I agreed, that was what I threw. If I didn't, I shook him off until he got to what I wanted to throw so he knew what was coming. Given it's deGromm, he should shake off pitches at his discretion.

Butto started and came out after 1 inning in case he needs to be called up.

Carlos Dominguez became the first player in the system with 20 HR and 20 SB since 2012(Cory Vaughn-St. Lucie).

Jett Williams came out of the game for FCL Mets but haven't seen why. Hopefully nothing major.

I added William Lugo to the notable as he's having a really nice season between both A ball teams and has some helium.

Vientos keeps hitting. For the life of me I have no idea why they didn't call him up to be DH. Mauricio showing crazy power but a bad hit/on base tool. I don't remember a player like him in our system with such a crazy profile since I've tracked this for about 20 years.

Peterson will be the free call up, as he is not currently on the roster. Then they will leave him on the roster, as he is in the rotation until Carrasco returns. This will require the Mets to drop a reliever on Sunday. They will probably drop two, as Hunter is scheduled to come off IL then. Probably Clay and Nogosek draw the short straws.

Nido may come back this weekend to replace Perez. Nido is on the COVID IL which does not require a minimum stay.

Bottom line is that there is no room for Vientos at this time. Davis previously had his roster spot, and now Ruf has it.

What will be interesting is when Escobar comes back from IL. They can't send Baty back down, can they? They may have to. The alternative would be to DFA Escobar with a year left on his contract. Not happening.
