Wish they gave Nido the day off too.Escobar gets a much needed day off.
Shift are you McCann's agent?Wish they gave Nido the day off too.
Not sure what there is to work on. The Mets are paying him.Padres and Cano are working on a deal.
Haa I said the same exact thing on another board I'm on. He can't be getting more than minimum. Not sure what there is to work on. The Mets are paying him.
I'm his boyfriend. 😬Shift are you McCann's agent?
Every team splits playing time among their catchers because its the most demanding position on the field for obvious reasons. Less so if their catcher happens to be a key cog in the lineup such as Salvador Perez or J.T. Realmuto which of course is not the case for us.I'm his boyfriend. 😬
I think that this platooning of McCann/Nido is not good for consistency. Both have been dreadful at the plate.
While others disagree, and I may be in the minority, I think he is better defensively, and he has performed at a higher level in the majors. Of course, I could be proven wrong.
No way we shouldnt have done more damage. Im at work so not watching but i imagine he's falling behind the guys he's not walking.2 innings , 5 walks , only 2 runs
Needed to bury this guy
I invoked the jinx. You guys can thank me.Nido gets a big hit !
Cant pitch worse and only give up 3 runs
No idea where strike zone is.
Keith asked if it was right by this kid to have him up in the majors . He doesn’t belong anywhere near a major league mound right now.
How’s his back?Nice bounceback Tijuan. Certainly needed because not a lot of hitting going on right now.
Good enough to pitch. Bad enough to have use a heating pad in between innings. How’s his back?
I long for d'Arnaud. I still don't think Realmuto would have come here, even if the offer was equal. It’s about honesty and I must admit I may be the harshest on Nido and McCann

Beats me. I'm at work following online when I can. How’s his back?
Just gotta tip your cap. Guy caught up to a 100.6 mph heater.dammit- wanted that shutout...ok- one more out and all good in met land
Nido's fault. 😜dammit- wanted that shutout...ok- one more out and all good in met land
no one ever longed for d'Arnaud when he leftI long for d'Arnaud. I still don't think Realmuto would have come here, even if the offer was equal.
2 out of 3 once again. We can live with this. I do wish we would sweep a couple of series from these bad teams though. Not working out so well in the first two games with only 4 runs and 3 runs scored. Mets need to do better at the plate.
The guy who replied on Twitter nailed it so far:
True, but many questioned the wisdom of the Mets cutting him loose.no one ever longed for d'Arnaud when he left
only good things BVW did was bring in Davis and not trade away our young major league ready guys like McNeil, Nimmo, Smith. Bringing Cano in on the Diaz deal and not getting Seatle to eat a good amount of his $$$ was his biggie, of course. At least Diaz is starting to be a plus and Kelenic has not lit it up as the next Trout.BVW is the gift that keeps on giving. 🤬
It pays to be the neighbor of an idiot owner.
As Forest Gump would say, "Stupid is as stupid does."
Thank god we as Mets fans can live by another Forest Gump saying:
"Mama always said you've got to put the past behind you before you can move on."
So far, we've moved on, and I can't be any happier.
Im kind of surprised there werent any visible fights in the stands as that all unfolded
I continue to wait for him to have his Andre Agassi moment and choose to shave his hair, which he’s made his signature, because he’s losing it.I used to really like him and his grit. But he has turned me off ever since he basically begged for a qualifying offer, appearing that he wanted to stay and then jumped ship. This was an unnecessary shot but maybe he has some animosity to the Mets for reasons the public is not aware.
Boy do the Mets need to beef up their system.May 11 Mets Farm Report (Top 25 prospects per MLB Pipeline)

Nice day on the farm for some of the top 10 guys. Vientos heating up. Holderman also had a 2 inning save for Cuse giving up a 1 run and striking out 3.
