OT: OFFICIAL - Make Fun of the Mets/Yanks Thread - 2018 Season

One of the roughest weekends ever for me as a Yankees fan.
I was doing fine until Boone took out CC and brought in Holder....and left him in.....and left him in.
The guy should change his name, He's no holder.
It's looking more and more to me like there are two teams in MLB clearly better than the Yankees.
Maybe we can get on a roll in the playoffs. Remember....we still have a Chance.

Oh...and for my Mets' fan buddies....I'm so glad they're not making any significant changes and bringing back the same unit as this season.
You know what they call it when one continues to do the same thing but expecting different results ?
Every day I look at the Mets lineup and see no one hitting over .250 I'm a happy camper.

I can see why you'd feel that way as a Mets hater. Dumb, cheap, ownership, the difference between your team and mine. On a side note, I thought this weekend was a great baseball weekend.Just try and stay ahead of Oakland and Seattle or else this board will EXPLODE with comments,lol.:bomb::boom::fire:

I'm not worried. My team has one of the best records in MLB. It's also the youngest team in MLB. And the Yanks have one of the most talented minor league systems.
Good times.
Now, tell me what your team is gonna do to move from a basement dweller to a competitive one next year ? David Wright is not coming back.

Well, on the plus side, just a few weeks ago, you were bragging that you had the youngest team in baseball, the best record in baseball and the #1 rated minor league system in all of baseball. Things seem to be trending downward. Maybe in 20 years, you'll be right where the Mets are now.:scream:

If the Cincinnati Reds announcers can see WTF is going on with the Wilponzis...

No brag....just the facts.

Nice work. So, the Yankees are ONE OF THE YOUNGEST teams in MLB.
It's great news to me.
Now...try to stay ahead of the Marlins.

The good news with my Met's, I always know how to play my fantasy team when deGrom is pitching. I sit all my hitters on both teams.

When talking facts, this is not even remotely true...it is that lazy excuse. The Met's have spent the money, they just f-ing spend it wrong.
Yeah, they spent $49M of it on two players who may not play in 2019. And even though they have money coming back from the insurance policies taken on both Wright and Cespedes, they will not even attempt to improve the team, unless you count Jose Bautista and Authur Jackson. (Fact)

And yes they have spent money, they have spent money based on their formula that for the most part have not fared well in all these years. So instead of getting Moustakis, Cain, Arrietta, and others, they spent it on Vargas, Reyes, Gonzalez, Bruce, etc.

Soooo, are you arguing or agreeing?

Interesting fact....the Yankees once traded Austin Jackson for Curtis Granderson.

Congrats to the Amazins on winning the battle to stay out of the NL East basement.[thumb2]

Lol, you just never give up. Yup, lost season, but remember, I'll be there for this season's EPIC FAIL.:bomb::boom::fire:
Wait....if this season is a lost season, what was last season ?
And I'm betting there aren't many people laying bets down on the Mets 2019 season being much better.
Just try to stay ahead of the Marlins.

LMAO,your Yankee EPIC FAIL, the season for the Mets sucked right out the gate.

KBee, serious question,do you just choose not to post in the Mets thread, or are you going for the new world's record for being banned from one thread?

Yeah...I'm banned from there. It's happened the last few years. Actually, at some point this season I was not banned from that thread.. I had already said that I had decided not to post anymore in the thread because the Mets were so bad and their fans were suffering so much...I just couldn't continue piling on But then something especially bad happened to the Amazins and I figured...why not....one last time...
I think I posted just the laughing emoji . That was enough....my privileges to post in that thread were taken away
It's OK. I'm really good at dishing it to Mets fans. And some of them seem to be extremely sensitive.....and have the ear of the mods here. I'm fine with not posting there.
The funniest part of the whole thing is that I know lots of Mets fans and every time I tell one of them about my banning from the Mets thread on the Rutgers board they laugh and assure me that most Mets fans are not that way. Except maybe for the really young ones.

I personally, enjoy the back and forth we get into, and wish you were let back in. I have so much I want to say when the you know, the EPIC FAIL comes, lol.:sunglasses:

I hope Mets fans attend tonight, wait a long time in the rain delay and give their money to the Yankees

Turned on WFAN and that blowhard Evan Roberts was talking about David Wright, a washed up bum

Wow, another stellar outing by Severino. Who could they possibly beat with that pitching staff in a post season series, lol.

Who are the real Yankees, the one that went 41-13 or the one that has played 33-31? Do they have a real #1 or #2 Ace? All I'm seeing is a bunch of #3's coupled with a great but over worked bullpen. It's looking more and more like the Wild Card game will be played on the West Coast, good times in October.:bomb::boom::fire:
