In 2003,Seton Hall scored a basket against Georgetown to take the lead by 2 within 7 seconds to play. The only problem is that they had 6 players on the court.

No one noticed.

Still playing with 6, the Hall couldn't stop the Hoyas from tying it up near the buzzer.

Playing with the handicap of only 5 players, the Hall prevailed in OT.

Tonight, playing against Nashville and trailing late by a goal, one of the Rangers jumped onto the ice when a delayed penalty was called on Nashville,a standard move normally as your goalie heads for the bench.

The problem this time was that the Rangers had already pulled their goaltender and when the officials stopped counting there were 7 Ranger skaters.

The penalty almost certainly cost them a chance at a tie as the teams traded goals in the final minutes.

The first of many losses I hope, and I wish the rangers a long and forgettable season.
As a Rangers fan, I support this (mostly). It isn’t going to be our year so it is better in the long run to play and develop the kids and finish low in the standings while stockpiling draft picks at the trade deadline. “Lose for Hughes” 2019!

Agreed. Ownership did the right thing last year announcing the rebuild and tempering expectations. I think us rangers fans are way ok with losing last night. So take that Devils Flyers Isles fans!

Rutgers/Jets/Knicks/Rangers/Mets fan. I'm in the same rebuilding hell all year long

As a Devil's fan i hate that the Rangers are actually looking at rebuilding the proper way.
