OT - So why again did the NFL move 2 teams to LA?

The customer service at Pro sports events are getting worse. I remember when I went to a Lakers game at Staples Center. I bought a ticket on Stub Hub and I bought the ticket at the same time as some other fan. When I was escorted to my seat, the seat was occupied. They called security and escorted me out of the arena like I was a criminal. I called Stub Hub and they refunded my money. They then gave me another ticket for another game for free, but I was still angry at Staples Center. After the free game, I never went to any pro game again. After all, I am happy watching pro games in HD on my TV at home.

Exactly. Why do fools attend these games. It's like going to work. 25 years ago I remember there were two bars that had out of market games .. Zupko's in Dunellen and Poor Billy's in Woodbridge ( there may have been other but those are the two I remember). Now you can catch an out of market game at just about any bar. My brother an I used to travel out to Cincinnati once or twice a year to catch a Bengals game. Now I can just walk down to a bar and catch the game on a big HD Tv. Why bother attending games?

Flying back from SoCal last fall, some millenial dudes (SoCal natives I assume) sitting in front of me on the plane were talking about NFL teams in LA. The consensus from my eavesdropping was that the Rams weren't their team, but they might get into them (they had other favorites). As for the Chargers, fuhggedaboutit.

To use Jeff Fisher's immortal words, LA is going to have to put up with a few years of 7 and 9 BS, and worse than that. Eagles play at Chargers on 10/1 and at the Rams on 12/10. Tempting to fly out and take a row of empty seats to myself for both games, but RU/OSU is 9/30.

How is it that all the NFC East and NFC West teams play each other this year?

All NFL fans have to essentially deal with years of 7-9 records. That is IMHO the reason why interest in the league has decreased. Parity is just a code word for mediocrity.

I get the point, although it's a little misleading. The Chargers are temporarily playing in a 27,000 seat soccer stadium that puts quite an artificial cap on their attendance until their shiny new stadium is built.

It's only misleading if they actually sold out, but in fact the Chargers, for their home opener, could not sell out that 27,000-seat soccer stadium. Until they do,the "artificial cap" on their attendance is Los Angeles not caring.

You haven't been paying much attention. Each division plays another division EVERY year. This year, it's just time for that pairing again.

NFL schedules are easy -- six games against your own division, four games against another division, four games against another division in the other conference, and two games against the team that finished in the same place as you in the two divisions you don't play against in your conference.

And your point is?
That you can't read?

"The owners on Wednesday paved the way for the Chargers to move when they approved a proposal to let the team raise $325 million to pay for half of the $650 million relocation fee that would be required for it to move to Los Angeles."

Warren Moon was an absolute beast, ironically he had a delayed start to an NFL career because he was black and the thinking back then was that a black man wasn't smart enough to be an NFL QB, yet he is called the racist.

I don't track Moon now that he is retired. So I have no clue if he is or isn't a racist. Others being racist doesn't somehow give him a pass to be one himself. So I hope he isn't.

I loved Warren Moon in the NFL. We have had our Dynasty Fantasy League since 95, and for several years he was my main gun at QB. We start 2 QBs, and due to bad drafting, I was down to only having one starter with people trying to fleece me in trade. I rode Moon n Galloway to several wins. One game was 5 TDs for him and 3 for Joey. Sweet!!!!

QUALCOMM is a dump and the Spanos' buffoons.

That being said Charger love in SD runs deep. The blackouts were few and far between and in1 -15 Mike Riley seasons or their ilk. Would not be surprised to see the Charges return after the NFL engineers getting the Spanos' out.

I'm not usually one to judge, but when you're reliving scores in fantasy football games 20 years after the fact, it's time to close out that waiver wire tab on your browser & get some fresh air.

Dude, Warren Moon was mentioned, and I recalled a memory pertaining to him. Perhaps you should worry about your own affairs.

Seat licenses will be $175k-$225k for Rams games in the new stadium.

That's so crazy and so NFL. On one hand it slightly reminds me of seat donations colleges want for season tickets purchases - but that's before the crazy prices. Those prices remind me of the carbon tax schemes where brokers invented a scheme to just sell/tax air. NFL brass really just see public as suckers. Maybe they are right - or were

How much were the licenses for Jets and Giants in NYC? Were there different costs for the same seats by team?

Jets & Giants PSL's were priced differently from what I recall.
Giants were more expensive and they were not as flexible as the Jjets, who had a harder time selling PSL's.
My Jets seats starting price for the PSL's was $5K per seat but I negotiated them down by 1/2. Now they ain't worth SH*T !!

If a team wants a new stadium, they should feel free to go ahead and build one...on their own dime. Taxpayers shouldn't be asked to foot the bill
