OT: The New Ivies

Its a multi-faceted revolution and its coordinated and timed. Europe is going to pop-off too because US is understood to be on the bad side. Im waiting on NYSE, Goldman et al to make good on threats to move to Dallas and Miami. The barbarians are inside the gates and leadership helps them.

good god with the phones and masks.

You fight power w power
Not with compromises and empty promises

Want these Neanderthals to cease the nonsense?

Arrest them
Don’t release them 20 minutes later

If that doesn’t work, start using teargas and rubber bullets

Mobilize your local police force with a mission to stop this nonsense, no matter what

Bring in the national guard if need be

And, I know this sounds crazy… actually convict the guilty parties with strict penalties

Abbott and RDS aren’t messing around, yet New York & Chicago, once two thriving cities, are in chaos (and candidly, already were prior to this)

The phrase “we don’t negotiate with terroists” aptly fits what’s going on on these college campuses

The choice is clear

Act Florida & Texas, and they end
Act like New York, California & Illinois… and the chaos continues

Two different points of view, same feeling
Report: Most Jewish, Muslim students fearful amid conflict
>The surveys found students have reason to be afraid, with real acts of violence happening on campuses and antisemitic and Islamophobic sentiments expressed by a significant number, albeit a minority, of their peers. But the report also concluded their fears may be partly driven by fundamental misunderstandings of each other’s views of the conflict, reduced to slogans in impassioned campus protests.<

Might as well throw UCLA into the bloom is off category as well. Can’t believe we admitted these clowns into the Big 10.

That’s where the other variables kick in

Sports, clubs, extracurricular, activities, essays, volunteer opportunities, etc.
A kid that works a job after school should get as much credit for extracurricular activities than any of those you listed.

Most if not all college protesters are not saying this
Most of these protestors are hiding their true intent behind the veneer of asking for aid to Gaza. In reality, they are arguing for the dissolution of Israel as a nation state and forced expulsion of its current inhabitants. In its place will be a new, strong Palestinian nation backed by Iran with support from China and Russia.

The ironic part is the bulk of the Sunni Arab and Muslim world doesn’t want a strong Palestine.

Wrong ! And ethically and morally - all of these “protesters” and yourself are on the wrong side of history.

You also do realize that these “protesters” are yelling for “ ceasefire now” and yet its their team - Hamas - that constantly declines the ceasefire negotiations by not releasing the hostages.

It’s a simple equation - Hamas Frees the Hostages and hostilities end - yet your “ right side of thing protesters” refuse and or are too dumb to understand this.

I never could imagine a country gets 1,400 of its innocent civilians butchered by savage terrorists which started this war and empathy on college campuses and with many others is with the savages.

Talk about misguided people and a world upside down !

Where and how are you getting fed this information?

I dont believe i am wrong with the statement that most if not all “college” protesters are saying those things.

Columbia and NYPD could be giving wrong information, but they were saying (as of last night) the people in Hamilton Hall were not college students.

The college students behavior havent been so virtuous anyhow

Rampant anti semitism in campuses for over 6 months now

Well said

Its unimaginable this environment has been allowed to grow and fester like this for months

Its been normalized

So what?

Let's blame all the fans that attended the UMASS (Marcus Camby team) Rutgers game that ended at halftime.

I am blaming you for that. Guessing Sweat Pea was just a pup.

What were they protesting? I don't remember.

Yeah, we're all hypocrites. It's human nature. For me the key is to be as self-aware as possible about it, and try to manage it.

Still working at it, though.

Many people who violently invaded the very capitol of our nation (or condone/praise this action) will tell you that these protests are horrifying. Many who practice violence and destruction in these protests are the first to condemn what was done on January 6, 2021 in Washington.

Respect you Fig but that’s Strawman 101 / false equivalency stuff right there

I was at that game and super pissed if they pulled that, and a majority of the fans booed those morons for doing that and were angry off they ruined the entire game

I don’t see a majority of the students, who allegedly do not share the same core values as the rabble rousers in question, denouncing themselves from the alleged separate groups activity

I think that’s all we can do, is to try to improve every day, be better people, more accepting and become more self-aware, and then hand on those traits to the younger generation, in order to leave the world a better place when we exit eternity

They need to figure it out fast.

Do you really think the Columbia student actually shares those values? Seriously? If so, you think it was the Columbia education to blame????

I think it is logical to think they are just against the way Israel is fighting this war and the fact that the United States is funding it.

Obviously this thing isn't clear and simple...black and white.

Hopefully everyone on each side of the argument acknowledges innocent people are being killed. To me the argument is what is acceptable of a response from Israel. It isn't simple.

which is exactly what I believe the intentions of the "average college protesters". They see something they think isn't right and taking a risk and doing something about it. The same as those students that protested the Vietnam war.

Yes, I think some of them do

Anti-Semitism is rapid throughout the nation, and especially on these Ivy League campuses

The blame is widespread.

Colleges have a lot to do with it with the indoctrination they’re doing a students, and obviously parents not raising them right as well as social media, etc. have a lot to do with it.

Again, I ask if they are against what is being portrayed of them in the media, why are they not actively speaking out against it?

Why are they not denouncing what’s going on if they do not support that stance?

And for those who were acting peaceful and doing so in a responsible, mature way, that is well within their right whether or not any of us agree with their principles or motives

It’s when laws are being broken and common decency is being violated, which, in this case, both are happening widespread, that the issue becomes glaring
