Bob Diaco calls a timeout when UCONN has none left. Costs them a chance to win.

At least they're the "6th Borough"... ?

Diaco did botch the endgame time management, but that's not how it happened. What happened was this:

UConn is down by four points to Navy. They have second and goal inside the Navy 1 yard line with 17 seconds left, and one time out. Clock is stopped as the previous play went out of bounds. Here's where Diaco and UConn made two fatal errors:
  1. They couldn't get the play called in time, and had to burn their last time out, with the clock already stopped.
  2. For some reason they then call a running play, which gets stuffed. Navy takes its sweet time unpiling (as they should), and the clock runs out before UConn can run another play.

They could've called a run but only on fourth down. The inside third down run call was stupid

That is BRUTAL.

I watched the UConn coaches explanation post game..... He kept saying that the placement of the ball was in question, and also made it sound like the 17 seconds should have been enough time for a running play and then get off another.

He blew it.... The only way to get two plays is if the first is a pass...... If the first play run fails, which it did, you knew Navy would take a long time getting off the ground and getting back on sides.... Enough to finish off the clock, anyway.

His own damn team had no idea what to do after that play - they literally wandered around like extras on the Walking Dead.

even if they had a play all set to go after the run at 17 seconds, no way was Navy going to cooperate and get set up for
another play.... just lay on the ground and get up slow, the game is over.

Bad coaching for sure.
I did like the UCONN QB at the end of the game. Nice composure and accurate passing on the final drive,
