Let's see:
Ohio State- players receiving illegal gifts/payments. Forced Jim Tressel to resign

Arkansas- Bobby Petrino caught cheating on wife with a student he got a job for in the athletic department. Fired

Miami- how many times have they been penalized and had to change coaches

UNC- academic fraud forced out Butch Davis

Penn State- child molester in the coaching circle

USF- head coach fired for choking player

UCLA or Washington (forget which one)- Rick Neuhausal (sp?) fired for betting on games

Notre Dame/Pitt/others- coaches fired for lying about credentials

There are many more that others can probably remember that, like the above, are much worse than what Flood did. I think Flood made a mistake, will pay a price for it and will learn from it. The media is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Move on already

Who cares those schools aren't our team. Plus, media went crazy about that stuff as well.

I don't remember the Navy rape case being that big of a deal in the media. Whatever happened with that out of curiosity?

Flood talked to a professor about what Barnwell could do to get a chance at a better grade. Sorry while not proper it does not come close to some of the stuff that has gone on at other schools.

Pointing fingers at other schools transgressions won't make RU's problems go away.
But standing behind how RU took responsibility for what happened , made sure everyone knew they considered it serious and didn't try to whitewash what came out is what we should be talking about and be proud of.
From the gitgo RU didn't try to cover anything up and when the facts came out made sure that everyone knew it was serious violation of the rules and didn't try to find a way to make it look like it wasn't.
Be ashamed of what Flood done, what Carroo was arrested for and the scum that made Rutgers look like $#!t because of their criminal behavior, but be proud of how RU handled each and every one of those problems, ASAP.

Don't care about any of it. I care about Rutgers.

And, as you noted, coaches were FIRED for those things. So what's the point?
