Major major props to Pike and the players for today’s game plan. Robbie Hummel kept mentioning that RU’s game plan was to flood the paint defensively and get physical in the paint when IU had the ball down low. It worked perfectly. Outside of Kopp, IU didn’t have any outside shooters to combat our D. A+ effort by everyone all around.

The strategy to win was a low scoring game with the crowd noise rattling Indiana on offense. The crowd was the number one star of the game. Simpson was the star on offense with 14 second half points.Mags was the star on defense harrassing the Indiana ball handlers. My prediction was Rutgers winning 63-61 and the final score was 63-48 which is reason the fans were the stars of the game.

We should all thank G'd that we have PIke.

Loved the switching defenses....zone, 1,3.1 whatever- it confused Indy and other than Miller they were ineffective.

Moving Simpson to the 2 guard in the 2nd half was brilliant as well. His man couldn’t guard him and it energized the offense.

And for the “Pike’s rotations suck”-tards, Pike’s rotations in both halves were masterful.

Rotating Dean and Wolf after Cliff got two fouls in the first half, squeezing everything he could out of them.

Sitting Hyatt after he missed three straight 3-pointers early in the 2nd half, and putting Paul in.

Sitting Spencer and riding the hot hand of Simpson in the 2nd half.

71 bench minutes gets an asterisk for Paul coming off the bench. But that's still a lot from the other guys, especially Simpson.

It’s the same Pike. We just won.

People would have killed him if Cliff got a 4th foul.

…or if Paul got a 3rd with a minute left in 1st

…or if IU went on a run before the last media TO when he gave Paul a rest.
