Honestly, I think perhaps the only way to know for certain who should be the starter is to see how each deals with tougher competition. We all remember how good Gary Nova looked against weaker opponents for most of his career, only to see him develop a severe case of happy feet and questionable decision making against more formidable foes (aka TTFP last season).
What's wrong with playing both against WSU and possibly Penn State until one separates himself from the other? If one is indeed markedly better than the other it will show against stronger competition. Thoughts?
