Rutgers is the only B1G team whose shooting percentage is below 40%, currently at 39%.
Every other B1G team is at 45% or above except for Nebraska (44%), PSU (43%) and MD (41%).
Our top 5 players by shooting percentage (minimum 15 minutes per game) are:
Woolf 60%
Austin 56%
Cliff 51%
Hyatt 39%
Mag 36%
Theses 5 give us size, toughness, defense, rebounding, and the highest shooting percentage (except from the FT line).
I’d like to see 4 of them on the court together, with just one of our point guards (all three of whom are killing us with poor shooting while getting 20+ minutes per game):
Simpson 35%
Noah 35%
JMike 33%
Noah should have his minutes reduced. Gavin (35%) comes in as game situations allow. No Oskar and no Chol except for spot minutes to give someone a breather.
We have to find a way to lift our team shooting percentage closer to 45%, otherwise we’re starting each game knowing we have to play catchup by trying to force turnovers, and defending so intensely just to bring our opponent's shooting percentage down a little.
